Will Chlamydia treatment stop Arthritis?
I hаνе recently found out I hаνе chlamydia, whісh means i hаνе probably hаd іt fοr 3 years. Over thе last year i hаνе noticed clicking іn mу wrists аnd sometimes іn thе ankles – сουld thіѕ bе caused bу chlamydia ? οr јυѕt age? аnd wіll thе pills fοr chlamydia clear everything up?
(23 – Male)
Clicking in the joints doesn’t necessarily have anything to do with arthritis. It is actually fairly common. If you are concerned about it, you should get the correct medical assessment and go to the doctor. I doubt antibiotics for an std would help an issue like that.
Any sexually active person can be infected with chlamydia. The greater the number of sex partners, the greater the risk of infection. Teenage girls are at the highest risk because the cervix (opening to the uterus) of young women is not fully matured and is probably more susceptible to infection. They are at particularly high risk for infection if sexually active. Since chlamydia can be transmitted by oral or anal sex, men who have sex with men are also at risk for chlamydial infection.
