I have found from experience that 8 or 9 double shots of Jose Cuervo works quite well for me when I have an arthritis flare-up.

I have found alieve(spelling??) to be the best thing OTC. It is alittle hard on the stomach for some. If I just take it everyonce in a while it’s not too bad. Icy Hot helps some witht the pain.

I had arthritis in my hip. it got so bad that I could no longer bend over to tie my shoes or put on my socks. a year ago I had a total replacement. I have zero regrets and will have the other one replaced long before it gets as bad as the right one was.

Hopefully your knees are not in that bad of shape yet.

Short term – Tiger balm ointment which you can get at a vitamin store and apply… also Glucosamine capsules 1000mg. 2x a day with a doctor’s OK are great, (maybe just call and ask if they’re all right to take – no need to go in for an appointment if you can’t)…they may take about 6 weeks to work but they’re working wonders on me after two months… good luck… they too are available at a vitamin store, and are even available at inexpensive retailers – sometimes Tiger Balm is at drug stores too, shop around for the best prices if you’re on a budget like most people….

    A good hot soak.
    Heat works well.
I go to a sauna once a week when its cool out for just that reason.

    Good Luck
