What is worse Osteoarthritis or Rheumatoid arthritis?

   Rheumatoid is worse. They both suck, however.

   Rheumatoid is worse. It is the crippling kind. Your body especially your hands turn into claws and is very very painful.You lose the ability to use your hands or move your fingers. Osteoarthritis happens more with age and is painful and dangerous since the done density is low.Meds can help with both but not the same meds. pain is worse for Rheum.type and getting stronger bones is for osteo. so you don’t break a hip or something falling.

   I think RA is the worst , because it’s an immunologic disease and can involve multiorgans such as joints , liver , heart , eye . . . also it occur in early ages . But OA is a degenerative disease and is common in old ages in a large population domain , and it’s main site of involvement is joints , it can produce some morbidities but acceptable and surgically correctable ! .

   I have had severe RA for 7 years now and know people with OA and RA and I will say without a doubt that RA is way worse than OA but if you want to see a tutorial video on what RA does to a person contact me at poohinmissouri@yahoo.com and I will give you a link to my message board so you can see just what RA does to a persons hands and so on
