My dog has been on Rimadyl and a Glucosamine/MSM supplement for 4 1/2 years now. She has Hip Dysplasia and Arthritis and doing very well with this combo.
Whatever the vet prescribes.
Vet prescribed medicine, talk to your vet.
If it’s the beginning of symptoms, you can start her on dog aspirin, it’s different from human aspirin, it’s buffered for their stomach.

If it’s in the later stages, most vet prescribe rimadyl, but it’s expensive stuff.
yes i agree with Julie D. Glucosamine is what we give our dogs. (We have 2 little dogs that are old and a big dog who had surgery awhile back).
I give my Australian Sheppard Lakota K9-MX. Rifraf doesn’t limp anymore! He’s able to walk normally.
