I have conquered it, although i will have to continue with a diet for the rest of my life to avoid flares.
I cope with it by eating a lot of anti inflammatory foods. These include omega3, bitter salads, celery, aloe vera, onion, garlic, oil from green lipped mussels, ginger, turmeric, banana, rose hip powder and most root vegetables. You should also avoid omega 6 and omega 9 as these are causing the inflammation to be worse.
Some foods contain histamines or histamine inducing substances. These foods could make your inflammation worse. These are: pork, tomatoes, oranges, clementines, red wine, strawberries, cocoa and chocolate, smoked meat, processed meat products.
You should also consider to change to a more alkaline diet.
The actual condition, you need a good rheumatologist who will listen and treat your condition accurately. You need to see a rheumatologist regularly and be on a treatment plan.
But the emotional side, it’s not easy and I find it helpful to talk to those who’re going through it. I’m only 21, but I have friends who are my age who are going through it. It helps a lot. There are many online support groups too which help a lot
