I can’t really run because of my arthritis so running is out of the question. It needs to be something that is low impact on my joints but can help me loose weight. I want to loose 30 pounds before the beginning of high school on september 7th. Thanks for the help!
A friend of mine has a Border collie with a luxating patella the vet she has seen has said because of the Age of the dog and the fact Arthritis will of set in now it is not worth operating on the dog as the success rate is poor ,
The vet has said the best he can do is offer the dog pain killers but this dog cant even stand on his leg,
I had a dog with the same problem but the dog was younger she came to me because of my dog.
I don’t know whether to tell her to find another vet risk the surgery ,her vet wont budge on this so what would be the best thing for this dog.
Euthanasia is not an option as the dog is fit and healthy apart from the Luxating patella
My own dog had this done twice at the age of 6 and 7 and i know i was told it might not work but it did but thank you for all your answers
He has had about 5-6 seizures in the last month and a hlaf…he has no other significant health problems with him besides minor arthritis and the vet said there is nothing that he can tell that is causing the seizures. This is a very saddening situation.
I have taken him to the vet after he had 3 seizures in 24 hours and the vet said he cant tell what is causing them and can do nothing about it.
For about a year now my mother, 48 years of age, has been getting severe nerve pains all throughout her joints, i.e. shoulders, elbows, wrists, fingers, knees, and ankles.
Those pains she describes as if she was getting electrical shocks & at times as if her bones were breaking. She’s already seen her doctor who did tests and said her bones have some minor arthritis, yet there should be no symptoms for it since it’s only minor & can still be treated.
I did some research and I believe that what she has is Diabetic Peripheral Neuropathy since the symptoms seem to be the same as what she’s going through.
If anybody can help me by giving my information on what she may have and how she can go about making the pain less severe I will be greatly thankful.
I have an 8 year old German Shepherd mix. In the past few months I’ve noticed that she’s more easily agitated by our cats, people outside, etc. She barks constantly and it takes her longer to calm down. We used to be able to make her stop, but not anymore. Most of the day she’s either sleeping or walking about sulky. She’s not completely miserable 24/7, but she’s definitely not herself.
She broke her leg four years ago and never fully recovered physically, but runs around like nothing is wrong. If she’s in pain she usually limps or holds it up, but she hasn’t lately. Could she have arthritis (or something more serious)? Or is this just how older dogs are sometimes?
I won’t be home until September (I’m away at school) to take her to the vet and she doesn’t travel well enough for my mom to take her by herself.
I don’t think loneliness is the problem per se. She acts the same whether I’m there or not and there’s usually someone home.
She has been trained to go outside and also perform any number of commands. She has been a very smart and obedient dog. She just started going in the house over the last couple of weeks. I just don’t know what’s wrong with her anymore.
They believe that I have had Lupus since 2002, It attacks my joints giving me the same symptoms as a sever arthritis. Some days I can barely walk or hold a hair brush it hurts so badly. I am currently collecting unemployment but finding a job that fits my ability is very rare. What should I do for further medical assistance? What should I do for a job? I am very scared that I might have a advanced stage of Lupus… Positive answers Please
Good Morning,Last night my cat died. I don’t know how old she was, because we found her. About a year ago, she started developing symptoms that seen like arthritis, she could no longer jump up on the bed or chair. But she was still happy, eating and playing. Last night she let out this terrible cry, started stumbling like her back legs gave out, then it looked she had a seizure her whole body started shaking and her mouth sagged on 1 side then she could not move , as if she was paralyzed, she could not even lift her head, ,we made her comfortable waiting for a vet to open in our area, she was 3am , then suddenly she gasped twice for air and then died. Please help me to figure out what happened to my cat or could she have been saved if there was emergency services for animals open? Also my 2 children are devastated as well as myself and my husband should we get a kitten to help with the pain?
most areas of the house, as well as our couches. i try to encourage her to use her beds, but she likes the hardwood floors. I’m worried about her bones and arthritis. Any thoughts/suggestions?
