Here are my most major symptoms, and I’m not sure if they are connected, but I thought I would throw them out there, and maybe someone can connect the dots…

I feel achy. There are few days when I can say nothing hurts. Keep in mind I’m only 21. Lately my biggest ones have been my neck and side (my right side, the pain comes most often when I’m driving). The side pain and near constant neck pain is a fairly new issue compared to the others.

I sometimes get very bad abdominal pain. It usually happens 30 minutes to a few hours after eating. It lasts a few hours. It doesn’t happen every time. It seems to *sometimes* be worse after fatty, cheesy, or meaty foods, but it doesn’t happen every time I eat these foods. The more time that goes by, the more frequent this is becoming. It radiates and isn’t in a constant spot, but mostly centers about middle of my stomach, to my left (if someone were looking at me, it would be their right). It is so bad that I sometimes cry over it. Passing gas doesn’t provide relief.

When I stand up from a sitting positon, about 20% of the time my head goes “fuzzy”, my vision goes black and I fall down.

I have pretty frequent diarreah. It’s not all the time, or even every day, but it’s enough that I don’t think it’s a normal amount. The color is very dark brown (sorry for that info :P )

I sometimes have bouts of constipation. The consted feeling goes with the abdominal pain, but then later I get diarreah… in otherwords, it feels like I really have to “go” but I can’t until a few hours later when I have lots of diarreah.

I have had two episodes where there was blood in my stool.

In an average day I have a BM nearly every time I go to the restroom, but it is rarely “together”, usually soft pellet-like (sorry again for that information!).
I flush. It happens when I’m embarassed. It happens when I’m *cough* aroused. It happens when I drink (I don’t drink anymore). It happens sometimes for no apparant reason. The flushing is is big splotches, not all over. It is mostly on my neck/jaw and chest. Sometimes I get it on my cheeks. It’s very embarassing. I’ve been told by friends that maybe it’s rosacea, but it doesn’t look quite like the pictures I’m seeing.

My hands hurt. It feels like arthritis. It happens more in cold weather. My joints in my hands hurt. Sometimes it is so bad I can’t drive. It doesn’t happen all the time, it comes and goes.

I’ve struggled with depression for years.

It doesn’t happen as much now as it used to, but I get heart flutters. It feels like a panic attack, but only physically and for no apparant reason.

I’ve struggled with chest pain that comes out of the blue for seemingly no reason. I’ve been to the ER three times thinking I was having a heart attack, but they perform tests and never find anything.

I think those are the main ones.
I’ve been to the docs but they keep telling me it’s probably IBS, which I take as their way of saying, “We don’t know, so take a pill”. The pills don’t help. I’ve had a colonoscopy that didn’t find anything.

Someone help me. Throw out a condition that I can look up and see if it sounds like me so I can ask my doctors to test for something specific!

When I take my dog out for a walk, we always play fetch downhill with a launch and tennis ball. I try not to over work her, but she comes home with a sore front paw each time. I take her for normal runs with just a frisbee sometimes as well but she still gets sore paws! Is it arthritis?! Please, I’m worried.
She is an Australian Shepherd.

My aunt’s dog just walks around and then just cries in pain like if someone stepped on him. He’s about 10 or 11 yrs old. My sister thinks it could be arthritis. What’s really wrong?

My soon-to-be seven year old Labrador has had a strange limp for a couple of months. When he gets up from laying down he can’t put put pressure on his rear left leg and hobbles along for about 1-2 minutes, and can then walk, run and jump as if there was no problem. I also note that at the top of the inside of his thigh there’s a lump of (what I believe is) muscle. It looks as though he’s torn a muscle or tendon loose, or possibly tore a muscle. My vet originally said it was arthritis and recommended supplements, they have not helped. Would such an injury cause him to walk this way? Could it be something else? The dog does not appear to be in any pain other than his reluctance to use his left hind leg when getting up. What kind of treatments are available?

She has been trained to go outside and also perform any number of commands. She has been a very smart and obedient dog. She just started going in the house over the last couple of weeks. I just don’t know what’s wrong with her anymore.

I have pains in my upper knee. The pain has been chronic. It will go away for months, but once I become very active, it will come back. In general, the knee begins to swell up the day after I put a lot of repetitive stress on it. Also, it may lock and catch when I move it. If I allow for it to stay bent for more than a minute, and then try to straighten it, the pain will be pretty severe, sometimes accompanied by a loud pop. The pain is local to the area behind the knee cap, mostly in the upper region of the knee. Again, this is usually the day after, whereas while I am using it, I don’t feel much pain. I believe I developed the injury while running cross country in high school. After staying off of it for 6 months, it managed to heal up, but it has come back a month at a time here and there over the past two years due to basketball and parkour. I’m looking for any help on diagnosing my problem and finding a treatment. A specific name of the problem from a knowledgeable source would be most appreciated!

I don’t think it’s patellar tendonitis, which would usually be between the patella and shin. Also, I do not have any issues with other joints in my body, so I do not believe it to be arthritis.

I have a miniature sheltie and she is 10 years old. she has recently started to become slow pace and seems like shes unhappy. I am 98% sure she has arthritus because for the past couple years off and on she will limp. and act like shes in pain (this has occured on all of her feet). I want to take her to the vet but my mom doesnt believe me. what are some downsides to not treating arthritus? I want to convince her to take her in. I hate seeing my baby in pain. Thanks!

I’m a 21 year old with symptoms that fit with a connective tissue disease.

Apart from ANA, blood tests come back ‘normal’. My CRP is <3 (0-7) and rheumatoid factor IgM 9 (0-15). I have a positive ANA, not sure at what number or pattern.

I have joint pain in my knees along with swelling and stiffness. My fingers are puffy, stiff and swollen.

I have been given the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, but my I DO NOT have wide spread pain. The rheumatologist made a very quick diagnosis and was not thorough.

My GP suggested it might be Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease.

I also read about sero-negative Rheumatoid Arthritis, which my symptoms also seem to fit into.

I do not have Diabetes, and Lyme Disease is very very rare where I live (New Zealand). I’ve only ever traveled to Australia and Samoa.

I have to wait 2 months to see another rheumatologist. My knee pain and other symptoms developed about 6 months ago and the finger symptoms, about 2-3 months ago. Before this my pain was slightly more wide spread, but it was more likely I had the flu. This pain in my knees is different.

Also, my joints click, pop and grind when I walk or stand up.
My pain is worse in the cold, when walking up and down stairs or hills and in the morning.
Over the counter anti-inflammatories help the pain a lot. Nearly 80% of my knee pain goes when I take them.
I also have well managed Celiac Disease.

My other symptoms-
dry eyes, skin, nails and mouth.
Raynaud’s Disease.
Odd rashes.
Oral and nasal ulcers

I’m of normal weight, slightly low blood pressure, all other stats are normal.

Any ideas?

I have a 10 year old German Shepard mix/Female/52 pounds/Medium size dog.

I took her to the vet about 2 days ago & the vet says she has arthritis :(
She gave me Tramadol-20 Tabs or 20 days. And also a sample pack(4) of Rimdayl.

I’ve heard that alot of the prescription medications for arthritis can cause liver damage.

A couple of brands I’ve heard are good choices are : GMC and I believe the other has a ingredient called glucosamine.

I’m doing my own research, like reading up on reviews for the best over counter medications that won’t cause severe damage or even hopefully any damage.

So if any knows or has tried medications that are promising please let me know and thanks alot.

*Best answer will be rewarded full points*
I’m sorry :(
I’m just trying to choose what’s best for my dog.
I’m new to medications for pets :(
