I was wondering what the best treatments for psoriatic arthritis are. I was diagnosed with it in my back,hips and hands and the pain is severe. I am going to my doctor to discuss the pain getting worse and to see what can help quell the flair ups ,help inflammation and what meds are most effective for the severe pain since darvocet does not help the severe pain in my sacram and hips. Has anybody been treated for this and recommend treatment options to ask my doctor about ,especially cheaper medications .

my mum is suffering severe pain in her knee. she has arthritis in the knee. she tried the cortisone injection into her knee joint but it only made the pain worse two weeks after.
we are now looking for alternative treatments that actually work…any ideas?

I am in my 20′s and falling apart I have scoliosis (mild, lumbar and thoracic rotation) and arthisits at various points in my spine. I allso have moderate asthma.

What are some options for keeping the low back pain away? My doctor just says arthritis is progressive and come back when its unbearable/otc meds dont work anymore!

Is there anythign I can do now to slow down or prevent further degeneration? There has to be something, anything than just waiting for unbearable pain!

I take calcium dialy I asked my doc about other supplements she was pretty blaise ‘take what you want theres no real proff one way or the other’ so i have an appnt with a holistic med doc next week but looking for ideas, maybe somehting I cna request that my insurance might cover. They dont cover chiropractic that was my 1st idea

My 14yr old cat has had episodes of mobility problems for the past few years, the vet tells me its just arthritis. However I live in a country where the vets are only used to treating horses, so I’m not too confident, and I dont have any alternative vets to consult, so PLEASE help!
In the latest episode, she has had 1 dose of a long acting steroid (depo?) each month for 3 months. I’ve had all the blood tests, and everything is fine, I had xrays done, initally they told me she had a broken hip, but apprenetly it turned out that its a normal feature in an Xray of a cat if the cat is not positoned just right…
Now for the last two days she has started walking diagonally rather than staright and she seems to twist her body more when she walks. She’s also had her first ever ear problems recently, I know this can affect balence, I’m just stuck with not knowing what to do…
Can someone please give me some advice, I hate to see her suffer! I just wish I could get her to a vet that could

I am a 37 year old mother of 2. I have had fibromyalgia for years. I also have an adrenal gland insufficiency, a severe hormone imbalance, arthritis, and 8 months ago I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I am having lots of trouble. I am lucky because at this point, I am not having trouble with walking or using my legs. My problems are more cognitive; the plaque on my brain is on my left frontal and parietal lobes. (I think that’s what the MRI said (memory is a HUGE issue). There are many lesions on my brain, some very large. I started copaxone, and the active lesion has stopped being active, which is great. But, I am really struggling, and wondering if anyone knows if there are any new treatments that maybe I haven’t heard about yet. Thank you so much!

My cousin just called me to tell me that her 12-year-old Golden Retriever,Hannah,has been diagnosed with oral melanoma.The vet gives her about three months.I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this ,and if so,if you know of any natural treatments that may slow or stop the spread of the cancer.It is at the base of her throat. She has some arthritis,but is otherwise healthy. TY in advance.
Yes,I know that Goldens get cancer a lot.There is an experimental vaccine being tested at Ohio State,but it costs thousnads of dollars and is not proven.We were just hoping that someone might have tried something and had some success.

dr says i have arthritis and bulging discs in neck. i had 7 months of antiinflammatories phys therapy and stretching exercises. what is the next step?

mri shows mild left neural foraminal narrowing at c3-4
minimal disc bulging at c5-6
mild central disc protrusion at c6-7
straightening of the normal cervical lordosis
