My neighbor’s 14 year old Chow has severe arthritis. Am having a Senior moment…and cannot remember the safe dosage for Aspirin for him. He weighs about fifty pounds and cries in his sleep as well as when he’s awake. He LOVES life and has a sweet and playful nature. He also has non-red ‘hot-spots near his tail. She keeps him clipped against the heat….but would a vinegar rinse help him? She is too poor to afford Vet treatments…can’t even afford a license for him…neither can I. Any suggestions!?! Thank you.
Maureen…you are SO right! It’s not even HER dog…Buddha belongs to her worthless son who says’ He’s just old’. This is the BERST old dog. We just want him to be as comfortable as possible. By the way…I buy his Iams…that’s the best I can do; he has all his teeth and a fine appetite!
I’m only 18.. so I know it’s not arthritis.. They also cause me a ton of pain.. I would think it’d be carpal tunnel only I don’t have any of the symptoms.. so what could it be? If you need any more details let me know.. Thanks for your input
What can I do about this? Doctors? Medicines?..
Heavy metal poisoning has become an increasingly major health problem, especially since the industrial revolution. Heavy metals are in the water we drink, the foods we eat, the air we breathe, our daily household cleaners, our cookware and our other daily tools. A heavy metal has a density at least 5 times that of water and cannot be metabolized by the body, therefore accumulating in the body. Heavy metal toxicity can cause our mental functions, energy, nervous system, kidneys, lungs and other organ functions to decline. Learning where these metals can be found and decreasing one’s exposure is vital to staying healthy. For the person who wonders if they have heavy metal poisoning, testing is essential. If a person has heavy metal toxicity then interventional natural medicine procedures need to be performed.
I remember someone, once said tap waters are healthy, GTFO you lying fool

The medical evaluation I was sent to today was completely inappropriate. The doctor/staff spent about 5 minutes with me. The evaluation consisted of writing down a couple symptoms and doing a basic exam of height, weight, eyesight, blood, blood pressure, heart and lung. The doctor did NOT do any assessment of my signs and symptoms related to fibromyalgia, arthritis, or brain injury. He did not even seem to know what fibromyalgia was as he hesitated when saying the word.
is this a normal ssa evaluation? how can they use this to determine my eligibility or to deny me for that fact?
i am trying to get to a QUALIFIED doc on my own.
its osteo arthritis due to a knee and foot injury not being treated appropriately…
needs to be xrayed/mri….he didn’t assess function at all
i am not saying the limited eval he did was not needed–but he left out anything that could tell him anything..
and i have already had these blood tests and the results were sent to SSA
the fms diagnosis has been confirmed by numerous doctors in the past including a top researcher..i am even in his book as i participated in a medical study..those records were provided..he is not able to see me as a private pt….
blood tests alone don’t prove fms–you need to do a tenderpoint exam and imaging studies…
i have not had a private doctor who who take the time to actually talk to me in 10 years…this ssa doc did even less..
a doc needs to verify the severity of symptoms and functional limitations
SSA SAID THEY WILL ONLY SEND ME TO THIS ONE DOCTOR..NO SPECIALISTS
this was just a PHYSICAL EXAM
I CLARIFIED THE INFO__THAT IS NOT BEING RUDE
he did not understand the details
if this is what always happens all us taxpayers shoudl be screaming that they are paying for that junk—the exam was pointless..did nothing to verify my disability–they aare NOT sending me to a specialist..that was the extent of their eval
and if you think using caps for one line is yelling–you have issues..YA doesn’t give much choice to emphasize
people were using caps to emphasize long before it was called yelling
I”M NOT SAYING WHAT HE DID WAS “WRONG” but INADEQUATE
and to clarify–fibro is only one condition–i had it for 30 years..but i also have brain injury, osteoarthritis from medical malpractice–the docs not treating the injuries right) and a couple other things..
something went really wrong neurologically a year and a half ago..but the docs just keep acting like idiots..i’ve beenn so sick at times i can’t get to the bathroom or sit up to eat

I don’t consider myself a socialist, just a liberal.
My mom has rheumatoid arthritis and cannot afford the medical treatments. I think we should tax the rich more and have a universal healthcare system that way people like my mom can afford the treatments they need.
I think when people talk about rationing care and death panels they are just using scare tactics.
I realize there are pros and cons to both healthcare systems, however I feel healthcare is a right and the only way to ensure everybody gets the treatments they need is by having a universal healthcare system.
Most of the rich/capitalist class exploit the working class just to make a buck. If we allow free reign via free market, the rich will expoit the poor for all they are worth, therefore taxing the rich, among other things, is the only way to achieve equal opportunity for all.
My conservative friends don’t agree with me and tell me that makes me a socialist, but I feel I am simply a liberal not a socialist.
I have been checked by two doctors ,one gp the other vascular specialist ent and also seen on a regular basis by a nurse friend.. No one seems to think there is anything major wrong with me other than depression.. ok.. I didnt even know i was depressed until told I had post traumatic..Lets skip to what my real concern is.. i have had bizarre symptoms a list that is unbelievable that were all told to me that I was looking to much into myself. Ok. maybe some of it but when I get out in the cold .. my right thumb gets numb and my right arm feels weird.. like stiff.Im in my 50’s so could this be arthritis or some kind of blockage from my heart..?i dont know and thats why im asking this here .I know it isnt anxiety its something to do with my arm..I dont have blue fingers.. I dont get faint.. I do get a little short of breath.. that not being a big deal at the altitude we are.. but the thing about it is ,it bothers me..I dont have any symptoms of heart disease at all ..what could be up?
I have dysbiosia, which is a terrible disease to have. I’ve had it a long time. Going back in time, I realize what probably caused it and what made it worse. But now, it’s nearly impossible to get rid of. I’m hoping for divine healing—but would like to know if anyone else has had it or if there are doctors who have knowledge of it. This disease is not well-known among doctors because it was discovered by Jordan Rubin, not so long ago. It’s an intestinal disease with 19 symptoms and I’ve had or have all the symptoms except rheumatoid arthritis (I have osteoarthritis) and cancer (I adhere to an eating plan with lots of anti-cancer foods and drinks.)
The symptoms causing problems now are allergies like rashes (red areas where it gets hot and sweaty or breaking out on my face–red and puffy) and chronic bleeding which was an infection. I did take antibiotics and it went away for 3 months and came back. I do not want to take the very painful uterine test over again to find out the same thing again. Thanks for your help and don’t answer if you don’t know something please.
He’s 14 years old and quite healthy (minus his arthritis in which the vet started him on metacam almost 2 months ago and he acts like the pup at heart that he always has been). His ear is really puffy and it feels like a hard pocket of liquid and it’s located in his ear flap. He shows no signs of discomfort and he doesn’t shake or itch often at all. At first I thought maybe he had gotten bit a little too hard playing with my other dogs or by an insect and I figured it would just go away but it’s been a couple of weeks now and its getting bigger. It feels like its about to burst. I’ve been keeping a close eye on him and will be taking him to the vet as soon as I can get him in but I was just wondering what some people think it could be. I’ve read on a few sites that it could be numerous things such as an aural hematoma, ulcer, ear infection, even cancer! I’m just looking for some piece of mind because some of the things I’ve read are pretty scary and although hes in good shape and healthy especially for his age, he’s still a pretty old dog and I know his treatment options in any case are limited. Anyone with any ideas or opinions its greatly appreciated!!!
thanks everyone! I really hope being the age he is there is something the vet can do to help him out. He’s pretty strong willed
Heres to hoping!
What do you think this is?
I have a history of rheumatoid arthritis diagnosed with symptoms and a + RA factor.
Last weekend I noted severe stiffness in my upper back going to the very back of my neck with pain radiating down both arms to mid deltoid. The pain doesn’t go down the entire arm just mid deltoid. I am also noticing a slight weakenss on the left side but it isn’t enough to drop things ect.
I am adding a picture of the tattoo on my back ( this was done over a year ago… but it marks the spot where I am having pain stiffness and aburing sensation. http://i17.photobucket.com/albums/b85/no…
My doctor set me up with Soma and an anti inflammatory. I feel a bit better, but the weakness on the left arm is still present and ever so slight. My fine motor skills aren’t affected, my arm feels week when I raise my arm over my head for example. My MD felt I have some sort of injury.. but I have had not trauma that I am aware of to that area. What to you think this is?
