Hello, I have a question about Chosamin DS( a joint health supplement). I am 21 years old that is a bit overweight so I have been running alot lately and my knees have started hurting(patellar tendinitis). Would this supplement be a good idea to take to make it easier to run and prevent damage to my knee while I lose weight? Because it seems like it’s mostly elderly people with arthritis taking it and they make it seem like they all have severe chronic conditions when they say “the pain comes back if I miss a few days of taking it”. I just want to take it as a precautionary measure to keep my knees healthy while I run large amounts. This post isn’t a question about how much I should be running but only about this particular supplement. Please let me know if this would be a good idea to add to my supplementation regimen just until my weight goes back down from around 210 to 170 because I didn’t have knee pain when I weighed that. The cost isn’t a problem I just want to do EVERYTHING possible to get me running everyday and down to my running weight again as fast as possible. Thanks
Thanks for your advice. And I am well aware of the supplement scam for fat burners and muscle builders and all that jazz. I only take a nutrilite multivitamin, a fish oil, and vitamin-C. I was only considering this because of the very high reviews it has recieved online, almost 90% of the people who reviewed it on amazon said it really helped.

We are in the economic crisis, losing our business, and just a few weeks from having to leave our home. We have been living on credit cards, which are almost maxed out. Our two older labs are now on Metacam and Tramadol for arthritis pain, but we can no longer afford it. We have had them on one aspirin per day previously, but it doesn’t seem to give them any relief. We’d like to try Aleve, as it seems to work for my boyfriend and myself really well, but do not know if dogs tolerate it well. Does anyone have any knowledge of human meds that our dogs may take, (besides baby aspirin and adult aspirin), that may help with arthritis?

I have had a lot of dental work from acid damage from reflux. For at least 2 years I have been smelling a really foul odor from the top back tooth when I press pn the gums that my dentist is not picking up. (I have always had a very strong sense of smell.) 2 years ago my rheumatologist put me on 2 rounds of erythromycin which did not help. My dentist keeps telling me that my gums did look great and that I do not have a cavity problem but only have to control the acid reflux. The same smelly tooth had a piece break off last week and after a long weekend I went to the dentist to repair. My gums had swelled a lot and I think the smell has gotten much worse. I have been using peridex mouthwash for a week and while my gums color looks great and do not bleed, I still have some swelling and that awful smell Would it be better to take oral antibiotics along with the peridex or will it work eventually on it’s own. I need to add that I have psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis which can hide an infection. I am on remicade and methotrexate as immunosuppressive therapy. I have not had a cold or flu in at least 30yrs. I am 46 now. I see my dentist every 6 months and have no plaque buildup. If the peridex is going to work on it’s own, how long will it take? should I just pull the tooth? My back teeth are small to look at- I think they are normal but only stick out of the gums a little more than 1/8 inch
