I’ve been getting severe stomach pain after I eat anything for about 6-7 months now. I’ve been to the doctor’s and he gave me Prilosec (2 aday) cause he thought it was heartburn. That was 3 months ago and nothing has changed.

I get a sicking feeling in my stomach about 5-15 minutes after I eat, it feels like I’ve been kicked in the stomach. And I get some sharp pains right under my left rib. Also in the same place I get the pains my stomach bulges out, I don’t know how else to explain it. It also makes me throw up quite abit.

I also get headaches alot, light headed, dizziness. I got what looks like a patch of dry skin on my right ankle, which I thought it was just from me sitting on it alot but sense I’ve stopped sitting on it so much it is still there, and sometimes it burns, and feels like it is cracking.

I don’t know if my knees would give any sign, but, I feel like I have arthritis in them sometimes. I’m also 19 years old so I kinda would find it strange to have arthritis so young.

I weighed 140lbz my 1st doctors app. then 2 weeks later I weighed 120lbz, and now I’m up to 125lbz but it never stays. I tryed not to be so active but the more I lay around, the more weight I lose it seems.

I get sharp pains threw my chest and sometimes it feels like I am in a room full of smoke, I figured this is because of my heart murmur, which I have had checked out afew months ago. And everything came back good.

I get constipation alot too.

I’ve been told that Celiac disease does not run the in the family but then I hear from alot of people that it does. I know this was alot to read and I wanna thank everyone for taking their time and giving me some input.

I have uncontrollable muscle movements, bad knees, weak ankles, bad back, bad wrists, fingers that stay curled all the time, heat and cold flashes, chest pains, terrible, terrible side pains, really heavy breathing, stuffy nose all the time, bad allergies. These have all been happening a lot in the past few months. Thanks for the help!

Here’s some medical history about me:

Stitches in my right hand when I cut my hand down to the bone when I was five
Cast on my right wrist when I broke my arm when I was seven
Pneumonia when I was seven
Born on July 12, 1996 (thirteen years old)

Here’s some medical history about my family:

Dad had bipolar disease
Mom’s side has bipolar disease in it
Dad’s dad died from cancer
Dad’s mom died of cancer
Dad died of drug overdose
Mom’s dad died of leukemia
Mom’s mom has had breast cancer once, skin cancer twice, lived through all of it. Has arthritis and diabetes as well
Mom smokes
Dad was an alcoholic

I was prescribed Arthrotec 50mg 2x daily. I am a 21 year old female and this is supposed to help with an arthritis related injury. The first dose i took of this i had severe stomach cramps as if i was getting my period, but i wasn’t. My second dose today, which was 2 days later since the side effects kinda scared me, i had the horrible cramps again as well as light vaginal bleeding. I am no longer going to take this medication, but has anyone ever heard or experienced this before??

Thanks for any help in advance.
after speaking to the pharmacist and my doctor after the first dose, they both confirmed the cramps to be normal but didn’t mention anything about the vaginal bleeding. They also said that the symptoms would lessen after each dose, but the symptoms seemed to have worsened. The pain increased and added on more symptoms, Diarhea, Vaginal Bleeding and an increase in B.P.

I have been having joint pain and also migraines and cluster headaches.I’m 16 and the amount of pain I’m in isn’t normal for my age. I’ve been to the doctors a lot recently and have had lots of tests done. I’ve been having headaches and migraines since I was in kindergarten and joint pain since third grade but it was explained away as growing pains. They’ve tested me for lupus, all kinds of arthritis, Lyme disease and a bunch of other things but nothing came of it. My ANA test is borderline positive. I went to the rheumatologist the other day because of this and he told me it was nothing. He said it was just stress. I don’t know how many doctors have told me that, but it’s really starting to get to me. I mean for all I know it is stress, but I don’t think so. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Thanks :)
I’m sorry, I forgot to add some things. I easily get overheated and will pass out and/or vomit when I do. Also when I go out into the cold, when it’s cold enough to snow, I get these blinding white lights swimming around in my vision and feel like passing out when I’ve only been outside for a few mintues. My dad thinks it might have something to do with my adrenal gland, I was wondering if that could be true.
Thanks again :)

Around 3 weeks ago I had a rash/possible tick bite appear on my right upper thigh (I live in the country so ticks are nothing new). A few days after that my joints started aching, especially in my knees, wrists and ankles. I went to see my doctor that week and she wanted to wait a few days to see if the rash turned into a “bulls eye” rash, thinking I possibly had Lyme Disease. That friday my left calf suddenly swelled up to twice the size of my right, was hard as a rock, and had a radiating numbness/tingling sensation in my left leg. I called my doctor and she had me come in right away, she thought it might be a blood clot so i was then sent to the hospital for an ultrasound of left leg. No blood clot was found. Along with the swelling, my feet have been unusually cold and have been turning blue/purple.

Additionally, for the past 8+ years I have been battling with a persistently swollen lymph node in my neck. I’ve met with a surgeon, and he has talked about Hodgkins Lymphoma, but stated that usually with Hodgkins you will have a chain of swollen nodes, not just one massively swollen one. But said he wants to keep an eye on it, and need be biopsy/surgery is an option.

My primary doctor reffered me to another doc. for a 2nd opinion this week, my new doc. doesnt believe its lymes. These are the tests she is running right now.
-Scrofula
-Parvo Virus B19
-Vasculitis
-Juvenulle Rheumatoid Arthritis
-Lyme
-HIV
-Leukemia
-Lupus

If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
My mother thinks I should have an MRI done to make sure there is no blood clot that was undected by the ultrasound.

I’m a 19 year old college sophomore who goes out and drinks on a regular basis- I get enough rest when I can but sometimes there will be a few days where I get little-to no sleep. After this happens, I wake up with the same re-occurring illness.

In september 2009 I came down with an illness that started off with a sore throat-I was diagnosed with mono and I was sent home from school to run it’s course. Then, in July of 2010 after a few late nights of partying I became so ill for about a week with the same sore throat, only this time I had a butterfly-like rash across my face and red splotches all over my body. I went to the emergency room in the middle of the night because my throat closed almost completely- I would take a sip of water and it would just sit in the back of my throat, not go down. The doctor at the ER gave me 3 bags of saline because of dehydration, 2 doses of morphine, and a dose of steroids. He ran a blood test for mono and swabbed my throat for strep- both were negative. I felt better by the end of the day due to the steroids. In September of 2010 I spent two nights out partying with a friend, I woke up the morning after with the same sore throat and rash I went to the doctor immediately, he tested me for both mono and strep C- this time both were positive. He sent me home with antibiotics. The next day I began vomiting and having diarrhea non stop. My doctor prescribed me steroids and once again I felt better pretty quickly. In November of 2010, I had another weekend out and had the SAME sore throat. I returned to the doctor and he said it was no longer sounding like mono- but perhaps rheumatoid arthritis or lupus. He ran a blood panel- all of the results were normal EXCEPT it still showed positive for mono- the doctor had no idea why. He said the mono test shouldnt be positive 2 months after the original test. Now it’s December of 2010- I’m home for Christmas break and I’ve been out for the past few nights with friends- and I woke up with THE SAME SORE THROAT AND RASH!!! There is clearly a connection between going out and whatever it is that I am sick with. Has anyone ever been through this before?!

I’m 17, 5 foot 9, around 160lbs and a tad overweight I suppose you could say. I’m always in pain. My joints are killing me. My ankles, shoulder joints, writs, fingers everything. It’s not like a sharp pain, but an ache. And it’s pretty much constant. I’ve had blood tests for arthritis, and Lupus. Both came back negative. I also have cold feet all the time. It does not matter if I put on 3 pairs of wool socks and put my feet by the fire, they’re always cold. These may not be related, but I was just wondering what they both may be. It really sucks having all this joint pain. If you know what it may be, p;ease help. Any answer will help.
Thanks.

My 13 year old has been experiencing joint pain in all of her joints for over a month now. Whenever she moves her joints, they pop and are uncomfortable. I mean ALL joints – neck, shoulders, back, elbows, wrist, knees, ankles, hip. Primarily the torso and arms, but all are affected. She is also having severe spasms in her arms, fingers and toes, where they stiffen out and she cannot bend them. It seems that the fingers and toe spasms are completely involuntary, yet the arm spasms occur more often when she picks something up. She has seen an orthopedist (before the spasms). At the time, the dr thought perhaps the popping and joint pains were loose ligaments. As for her back pain, an x ray did show pars defect (where the last back bone is disintegrated b/c of repeated stress to it – she plays sports). She goes in for an mri tomorrow on her back. I am also concerned about her spasms and pain though. She has been on prescription meds for muscle relaxers and spasms and anti inflammatories w/ no help. Are there any ideas what this might be. Btw, the test for Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis was negative…. Thanks

I’ve been sick for two months now. Fever, headache, body aches and horrible fatigue. Three negative strep tests and a negative mono test. First my doc (internist) thought it was H1N1, then maybe inflammatory arthritis, but I didn’t respond to prednisone. We tried antibiotics, because I developed these spots that looked like bug bites but were really hard. Finally he sent me to a rhematologist, who I saw yesterday, he doesn’t think it’s rheumatological and questioned why I was there. He did “get the ball rolling” with a ton of lab tests (13 tubes) but I decided to play turnip and no one could get blood out of me. Last night I was awake for three hours with joint pains and I am utterly exhausted today. Tears are easily flowing today, which only serve to further sap my energy. Anyone dealt with something like this? What did it turn out to be?

I am having some blood tests done thursday for a few different options like rheumatoid arthritis and hypothyroid, but I was wondering what you think..
I am 25 and have an 18mo old.
Tired often
Sore muscles
Achy joints
Painful fingers and tingling hands (especially after sleep)
Lack of energy
Low to no sex drive
Super dry skin and hair
I basically feel like crap all the time. I am normally active and work on my feet at my coffee shop. I eat fairly healthy and don’t get sick. I am young so it makes it harder to understand. That is why I am being tested. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks!
