My iron level is currently 7. I have not been feeling well for about six months at least. I have asthma (since birth) and I may have arthritis (showed in my blood that I had inflation). I am 35 years old. I eat enough meat and iron that I should not be this deficient in iron. RIght now dr. has put me on iron pills but there are other things that are bothering me. I have abnormal periods now for the last 6 months, with some months being skipped altogether. I have had bronchitis about 4 times this year and she told me I have it now plus an ear infection which is weird. My ankles have started to swell every night and the antiobiotics have not helped with my cough (very wet). I am usually in quite a bit of pain, ecspecially in the evening hours and so take tylenol ( i think this is due to arthritis). I have been forgetting a lot (prob due to iron def.) and get frequent jaw and ear aches. Dr. has one test on thyroid and for diabetes which came out negative. I have no std<s and my pap test last September was clean. I am overweight and have been slowly putting on weight without any real reason. I do not smoke and I am also quite short breathed lately so dont exersize the way I would like. If you know about medical diagnosis and all of this sounds familiar to you can you please let me know what you think it could be. I have tried to do a symptom checker but it wouldnt let me add in the anemia which is one thing that came back positive.
THanks/…

For the last 8 years (when I turned 22) I will have full body tenderness, fatigue, soreness, and ache whenever the weather is rainy. I tested positive for rheumatoid factor, but the rhematologist said it didn’t look like rheumatoid arthritis. I lost my insurance before I could find out what it was…

Things that make me suspicious is my fingers will throb at the joints at random moments. Sometimes when I wake up, it hurts to get out of bed and its difficult to walk as my feet feel restless. I have muscle stiffness in my neck, shoulders, and upper back when the weather changes but won’t have q full body onset every time (today not the case – it hurts to type or hold my arms up). And other small things…

Do any of you or your spouses have Fibro? What symptoms are there? Does the sufferer feel completely worthless like I do when they can’t move without pain? How does the nonsuffering spouse handle it, let alone believe it since it is all internal?

BTW, posted this in marriage and divorce because these are is the most populated AND because I am sure someone who has Fibro might result in divorce as a result of selfishness of the non-fibro spouse.

for the past 2-3 weeks, i’ve been very very tired and exhausted. I’ve slept for 12 hours a couple of days, and still waking up tired and feeling exhausted for the rest of the day. One day I even slept more than 12 hours. My ankles/feet feel a bit heavy and hurt sometimes, and i’ve noticed I am peeing a bit more than usual.

I have a history of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, which stopped when I was about 16. I’ve only gotten one small flare up of it in my knee since, but otherwise I dont have it anymore.

Me and my boyfriend have had sex twice since the last time of my period (around July 13th), but we used a condom. I also took a pregnancy test 2 days ago in the morning and it came out negative.

I do remember a time 2 months ago where I flipped out and thought I was pregnant, and I was still a virgin at that time but we did mess around a bit, so I got scared. I felt like I had almost all the symptoms of pregnancy (except this frequent urination, feet hurting, and exhaustion), but then a few days later I got my period. So I dont know if I am just worrying that I may be pregnant and feeling this way. But I did not get my period for this month yet so I am a bit worried.

i have been on a gluten free diet for 6 months before they tested me. when they tested me for ciliac they tested for raynodes because my hands and feet at always cold and purple/ blue/ orenge. and when they worm up my hands and feet burn. besides my hands and feet my knees turn the same color along with my nose. also why testing for both if thoes arthritis is the same kind of test so they tested for it. i do have joint pain in my ankles, knees, hips, shoulders, elbow and wrist and sometime my fingers and toes.

How ever with all the symptoms i have for what ever all they tested for came back all negative.
have you had this prob?
what could it passably be?

ps: the doctors did tell me to stay on the gf diet. but then i asked them about the other things and they didnt answer they wanted to get other medical things with me figured out

These are my symptoms and another user suggested diabetes what do you think? My father had developed diabetes later in life but he is not around to ask.

I have just finished work and for the last hour and a half began to feel confused, and my thoughts were scrambled, my skull and head felt fuzzy. Everything felt dreamy, I lost short term memory and couldn’t remember what people had said to me. I couldn’t remember some of the workers names and my hands were sore and i didn’t know why, i had forgotten i had been diagnosed with Arthritis? what the hell is wrong with me?

I slowly walked to my car and sat for 15 minutes in the Passenger seat until i felt well enough to drive home. Do you know what this is?

I haven’t taken any drugs or been drinking, the night before i had a good night sleep, i ate pasta for lunch and had an iced coffee in the after noon.

Thank you for answering.

I don’t want to sound like a hypochondriac haha, and I don’t think I’ll be dieing anytime soon.. But these things are really bothering me, and I’m skeptical about being a healthy individual.

Here are some things I’ve felt recently, that have been consistently returning.
1. Fatigue
2. Loss of interest / appetite
3. Entire head headache, Sinus headache, Headache at the base of skull
4. Extreme leg pains (bone, i think..) (i’ve had these since i was a kid, they’re only in one leg.)
5. Joint pains (knuckles, wrist, elbow, hip)
6. Confusion / Dizziness / Trouble Remembering
7. Enamel Deterioration
8. Sudden constipation, then sudden diarrhea. (haha embarrassing..)
9. I’m not sure what to call this, but I’ll suddenly start walking, and my vision blacks out and my legs go numb. I’ve never fallen down, but I definitely have to hold myself up or lean against a wall to stay up. It only lasts a few seconds, and I normally get a headache afterwards..
10. I know I have general anxiety attacks. And I know I’m mildly depressed, to an extent.

Seems kind of extreme sounding, haha. But I don’t have all of these symptoms at once so it’s not too troubling. I just want to ask my doctor about certain things if I need to, like diabetes and arthritis.

I’ve been tested for anemia, I don’t have it. Diabetes runs in the family. Heart attacks do too, but it seems like a lifestyle thing, and I don’t smoke or drink.

Thanks for any opinion. I do plan on getting a check-up soon, but I’m just interested in other opinions.

I am a hypochondriac, so understand and tolerate this.

A month ago or so I posted a question complaining about this knee pain, and was largely told it was nothing, and I should “wait and see”. So I did, and it went away after 3-5 days or so. Since then, I’ve occasionally felt some minor pain and pressure on my right knee for a period of a few seconds or minutes on only two or three occasions.

But yesterday, the exact same sort of knee pain returned.

I didn’t mention it the first time around, but I’ve found that this pain has some odd symptoms to it:

- When I bend my affected knee at a normal 90 degree angle, I feel pressure upon it and my stomach. It often causes me to feel very gassy, making me burp where I would normally not.

- It also causes me to feel only SLIGHTLY nauseous—never enough to induce vomiting, and never so little as to be comfortably tolerable.

- Perhaps related to the nausea, I often feel a slight acidic sensation in the bottom of my throat, like stomach acids churning or lingering in my throat. It does not hurt and does not feel like burning.

- Expedites and/or causes more frequent trips to the bathroom.

All this just from bending my pained right knee. What is this? I’m very certain it’s not arthritis. Is it cancer? I’m not bleeding anywhere or have any tumors.

My Mother is 53 and has a history of high blood pressure and her cholesterol is slightly elevated. She is a very strong person and my 22 years I have never seen her let being sick or physical pain stop her from doing anything. She is in the middle of a big trial in court right now for injustices committed against her and it is causing her tremendous stress. She has seen several different doctors (specialists) but so far hasn’t received any ideas as to what could be causing her extreme physical pain. Here is a quick overview:

–aching pain in both feet. Hurts worse in the mornings/evenings. Walking lessens it in the mornings but by afternoon when she is at work again, the pain starts back up. In the evenings, her feet her so bad she is unable to do usual activities (working around the barn, with horses, etc)

–hand pain. She is in HR at a fire dept and has always worked with comptuers and finds it extremely painful to type. She has been to a specialist, ruled out trigger finger, and even went to a serious of sessions where they put cortizone into her hand.(however they did this on the WRONG side of her hand (top, not underneath) which caused her nuckles to become red and crack…adding to more pain. Arthritis as the main cause has also been ruled out.

–Memory. My mom is smart as a whip but since the trial has started, severe memory loss has been frustrating both her and my entire family. We’ll be chatting on msn and then she suddenly remembers something she needed to do and she’ll just leave. When she returns later, i joke and thank her for leaving me mid convo. shes like, what didnt say goodbye? Things like this drive her crazy, she was never so spaced before…

Elbows:
She also describes a pain in her elbows that comes like when you hit your funny bone but she’ll receive this pain without bumping it on anything. It has been suggested that the stress has irritated the nerve in her neck/shoulder blades (where she initially started to feel pain) and that nerve pain has traveled down her elbow,to her hands..but what about her feet?
She has a bruise on each big toe and has lost two toenails, both feet the same toe, the middle one.

My dad suggested maybe her body is in need of something ? Maybe it is lacking something??

Can somebody please offer a suggestion or a website where I can post this same question? (I’ve looked up symptoms seperately but I feel they are all interlinked)

My mom means the world to me and I am overseas until December and would really like to help her at as much as possible..

Thanks in advance.
*these symptoms.
I’m sorry, don’t know whats wrong with me today.

I am a 23 year old mom of one who had kidney stones in my right kidney during my pregnancy in 2008. They were so jagged and large that I ended up with a nephrostomy tube threaded into my right kidney for 10 weeks. I sported the tube and the bag it drained into around my thigh up until a couple weeks before my planned c-section. The urologist in charge of my high risk case cleared me of all stones and infection when he finally removed the tubing. My kidneys have been perfectly fine ever since. About three weeks ago, I started having flank pain on both sides, but really thought nothing of it, passing it off as a flare up of my lumbar arthritis and herniated disc (L4-L5 to be exact). I took some motrin and just waited it out. The pain got so bad I was averaging about three hours of sleep a night because I could not fall or stay asleep. I was in constant pain and misery, but the flank pain was the only symptom. I went to the ER and they found my white blood cell count elevated, which they said was a sign of infection. When I told them about the flank pain, they simply did a urine test which they said was completely clean. They sent me home saying they had no idea what to do for me. No other tests or anything. I continued to be in pain until a new pain started, in my lower right quadrant right above my bikini line, and into my groin. I worried it might have been my appendix, so I again went to the ER. I got a wonderful doctor that time around and she sent me for a renal ultrasound, while also re-checking my blood and urine. Now, here’s what happened: The blood tests were relatively normal, not really anything that stood out. My urine came back normal so far as I know, they never said anything about it. The renal ultrasound showed the scarring from my nephrostomy tube and also what the radiologist interpreted to be stones in both kidneys, the right more than the left. However, there were no stones in my ureters, meaning there wasn’t anything that should be causing the lower right abdominal pain. And the doctor said that just because I had stones in my kidneys didn’t mean I should be in pain. So, they sent me home again and told me to see my doctor. I saw my doctor Monday, and she ran blood and urine, which were normal so far as I know. She also said I should not have flank pain with stones simply in my kidneys. She did put in an order for a CT scan and a urology consult. However, the urologist doesn’t want to see me at all unless the CT scan shows stones for sure, because he says renal ultrasound is not definitive enough. I can understand that, but what else could these symptoms be? I have no UTI, no kidney infections, no problems with my blood, no issues with my abdomen, no passing stones, just flank pain on both sides, pain in my abdomen and groin, cloudy, smelly urine (remember, no issues with urine according to all doctors), and exhaustion and weakness, and just general malaise. No fever, no other symptoms, no nothing. I have been to so many doctors, and still have more specialists to go to to try and figure this out, but I am truly at the end of my wits trying to console myself over what’s happening. I know I need to keep going after medical advice, and I’m not asking anyone to diagnose. However, if anyone out there has experienced this problem and these specific symptoms and gone through all this too, I would love to hear what happened and what you found out. I’m just trying to make sense of it all, and make sure I’m actually on the right medical track to find the answer to all the pain and misery I’ve been going through.
