But my blood tests come back ‘normal’ excluding my ANA which is positive.

I have joint pain in my knees along with swelling and stiffness. My fingers are puffy, stiff and swollen.

My CRP is <3 (0-7) and rheumatoid factor IgM 9 (0-15). I have a positive ANA. All other blood tests have come back normal.

I have been given the diagnosis of Fibromyalgia, but my symptoms are not wide spread pain.
My GP thinks it might be Undifferentiated Connective Tissue Disease.
I do not have Diabetes and Lyme Disease is very very rare where I live (New Zealand) and I’ve only ever traveled to Australia and Samoa.

I have to wait 2 months to see a rheumatologist. I’ve had these symptoms for at least 6 months. They’ve been developing slowly but about 6 months ago they got worse.

Also, my joints click, pop and grind when I walk or stand up.
My pain is worse in the cold, up and down stairs or hills and in the morning.
Over the counter anti-inflammatories help the pain a lot. Nearly 80% of my knee pain goes when I take them.
I also have well managed Celiac Disease.

My other symptoms-
dry eyes, skin, nails and mouth.
Raynaud’s Disease.
Odd rashes.
Oral and nasal ulcers

I don’t have diabetes.
I’m 21 years old, normal weight, slightly low blood pressure, all other stats are normal.

Any ideas?

I’m 18 years old turning 19 in May. I swear I have Juvinile Arthritis. Both of my knees have been hurting for a good 4 or 5 years now. I have gained weight since then, but the pain in my knees have been occuring on and off before I gained all of this weight. My knees have been having on and off pain, not everyday though. It occurs possibly once or twice a week. If you have any idea if it is Juvinile Arthritis or what it might be, that woulod mean a lot. Thanks!

Main problem is weight gain. I am 5’3″ and currently weigh 212 lbs. In the last year I have gained about 30 pounds, I am more active than I was a year ago, eat healthier, have had blood work done (not thyroid), but can not lose weight, if I do lose any it comes back plus more. I nearly never eat fast food, never drink soda, only have alcohol once or twice a week. rarely eat junk food, diet leans more to the vegetarian side, try to eat whole grains over any other type. (white foods are rare) only have one or 2 cups of coffee or tea a day. avoid tap water , (reverse osmosis or spring water only …at least 64 oz a day)
I am aware that eating fewer than 1000 calories causes body to basically hibernate, but that’s all I care to eat most days.

other information that may be useful to problem above:
along with this I have a multitude of other symptoms originally I was told it was inflammatory arthritis I originally was put on steroids for over a year for this, ( but learned to control it with herbs and mostly organic diet for the past 5+ years) but now it seems more like fibromyalgia, which one dr. suggested a few years ago that I may have it but at the time I dismissed this because at the time that was the “go to
” diagnosis for doctors around my area. (will not list all the fibro symptoms here because you know what they are and I have them ALL)
BUT with all the symptoms listed above plus severe muscle cramping(mainly in legs and back) and swelling and severe pain of the feet . (no other cause for the muscle cramps. I stay well hydrated, I take a very potent vitamin. I am not on any medications. )
Exercise when body allows it includes yoga, walking 1 to 3 miles, dance, and chasing a 2yr old.

So with all this info…. whats wrong with me?????
(not a hypochondriac.. I do not want to go on any medication would rather treat with homeopathy, would rather stay out of local doctors’ offices for this because they only want to treat symptoms not find what the cause is.

please help!!!

My surgery was 6 days ago. I have had a lot of pain, both anteriiorly and exteriorly to the site. Now I have lost my appetite . My surgeon says he cleared out a lot of sludge from the common bile duct. and this sometimes causes a rebirth of pancreatitis. I am so sick of being sick! Am I to be at the mercy of my pancreas for the rest of my life? Does anyone know how long it should take before I start feeling better? What can I do to speed the process?
I should mention I also have severe arthritis of the spine, so I am on Pain Management. I pretty much am on my own as to how much pain medicatiion (oxycontin) to take in view of the additional post op pain. Currentlly I am taking one dose every 4 hrs while my normal is every 6 hours.
There is so much to sort out and I am over my head trying to balance the pain, the malaise, the lack of appetite, the low grade temp., not to mention bowel problems. Do I call my gastroenterologist or my surgeon? Help!
