they come in either one finger/toe or clusters.
this is kinda disturbing me for some time now.
i need to know what could this be a symptom of.
i’ve no arthritis or anything and i don’t usually engage in sports so this probably ain’t an injury.

Hello. I have arthritis and chronically inflamed muscles. I’ve been prescribed a NSAID but can’t take it long-term due to a stomach ulcer. I’m looking into alternative anti-inflammatories. Let me know if you know of any herbal or otherwise natural treatments that have anti-inflammatory properties. Thank you!
Thanks for the helpful advice so far. Btw, I was already treated for H. Pylori with the 14 days of amoxicillan, clarithromyacin and nexium. I blew clear in the breath test after. The ulcer just hasn’t healed yet b/c the Lodine irritated it
Here is a little background! I have 5 slipped discs – each have their own problem but here are the main things….I have arthritis in 4 of them, 1 of them has an annular tear plus I have mild scoliosis. My primary care physician had me on Lortab 7.5mg 2x’s / day – which is only helping some but could use better relief obviously. I was sent to a pain management specialist and had my appointment today where I had filled the new patient paperwork, etc.
The PA came back and examined me and went over my paperwork doing the usual routine then the Dr. came in. We discussed my problems, treatments such as epidural injections, physical therapy and medications. He had stated that I would need to submit a urine specimen before he could start me on any medication which was completely fine. When we’re finished talking, he leaves and a Nurse comes in, gives me the cup and shows me where the bathroom is, I get it taken care of, give it to the Nurse and go back to the room. The PA came in with the Physical Therapy form to take to any place
I needs someones help badly! so my mom was diagnosed with arthritis… we are not sure what type of arthritis at the moment. Her symptoms are pain on her arms and hands a couple of days her hands swelled up and got numb. She hasn’t been to the hospital in the US because she has not worked in 2 years and she has no health insurance. She is legal in the state, has been for years. I keep asking her to go to the hospital and ill try to pay for it, but she refuses. She is one month away from getting health insurance at her new job but lately her arthritis has gotten worse. She can’t sleep, nore drive her car without causing her pain. I don’t know what to do! can someone find some kind of information behind this? also if you happen to live in Arizona or California and know of any specialist on arthritis please let me know!
My 14yr old cat has had episodes of mobility problems for the past few years, the vet tells me its just arthritis. However I live in a country where the vets are only used to treating horses, so I’m not too confident, and I dont have any alternative vets to consult, so PLEASE help!
In the latest episode, she has had 1 dose of a long acting steroid (depo?) each month for 3 months. I’ve had all the blood tests, and everything is fine, I had xrays done, initally they told me she had a broken hip, but apprenetly it turned out that its a normal feature in an Xray of a cat if the cat is not positoned just right…
Now for the last two days she has started walking diagonally rather than staright and she seems to twist her body more when she walks. She’s also had her first ever ear problems recently, I know this can affect balence, I’m just stuck with not knowing what to do…
Can someone please give me some advice, I hate to see her suffer! I just wish I could get her to a vet that could
Thanks in advance to everybody who gives a valid answer.
I am a 21yr old F and have been having back/joint problems all my life however i have been having major back/joint problems since the beginning of the year, i am getting worse week by week.
Do the following symptoms sound like arthritis? (I know nobody here can give definitive answers, but i’m getting nowhere with my doc or physio.
* When i wake up in the morning i am very stiff.
* Lots of clicking, popping, grinding in my lower back, hips and neck. (My lower back feels like sombody is squashing it)
* Tingling and shooting pains sometimes down legs and arms.
* Can’t sit for lengthy periods
* can’t stand for lengthy periods. (I have to do everything in moderation.)
* Headaches from neck pain.
I have not had an accident or suffered any truama. i am fit and healthy. i know i need to either see another doctor or physio,
i have been offered a job i really want, it means moving house and i want to be sure before i go ahead that i can do it.
Do you think it’s spinal arthritis?
erm, i was never looked at for scoliosis as a child, but the physio has had a look and it doesn’t look like it. The doctor hasn’t yet done anything cos she thinks young people can’t get arthritis.
i have a comfy bed (not too comfy, but nothing wrong with it), my posture is ok, i drink lots of water and lots of fruit, i don’t drink and i don’t eat much sweet stuff and rarely processed food.
I have a 15 year old (about to be 16 in April) golden lab that has arthritis in her hips and shoulders. She’s on anti-inflammatory medication, and is doing as well as any 15 year old dog can do. She has a heated orthopedic bed she sleeps on, and we have put a ramp on the back door steps. So physically she’s able to get around our house with ease.
Are there anymore steps we could take to slow the progression of her arthritis? I’d hate for her to get so bad she has to get euthanized before her time.
freezing weather?Hi i have got ton this before went to a few different doctors and they cannot figure it out, first they thought arthritis in the bones, did a x ray everything seemed ok,they rules out Raynard’s disease, could this be a reaction to the cold?It is isolated in the one hand only fingers are literally tripled in size i cant bend them and looks like i poured boiling water over them it looks burnt all red and burning like, should i take anti inflammatory?no one can actually pinpoint what it is,this happened before in the freezing weather same hand but not as bad as i have it now,any ideas?what should i do could this be dangerous?
i was recently on antibiotics but i don’t think that has anything to do with it,and i have a typical facial pain as a result from a root canal anti seizure meds to take pain away i didnt want to take them should i stop?how else can i cure a typical facial pain please advise thanks!
I have degenerative arthritis in my knees and ankles. Most days it is so bad I cannot walk. I’ve had a bone scan that showed how bad it was (very severe, and i’m only 31), then was referred to a dr for treatment.
Well, the dr won’t give me anything more than Naprosyn, which isn’t nearly strong enough. She says she doesn’t like to prescribe anything that can be addictive, so no painkillers. Meanwhile, i can’t even play with my child most days, can’t get out of bed some mornings because I can’t unbend my legs. I went to a second dr, who said he didn’t like to prescribe painkillers either for the same reason. And that if I saw another dr for help, it could be considered dr shopping and I could get arrested for that. So what the hell can I do?? I am in crippling pain here. Should I go ahead and find another dr, even if it might get me in legal trouble? I need some relief. Life is intolerable like this.
They wanted to prescribe a med to help stop the damage that is way above what I can afford. It’s $400 a month, and I don’t have rx coverage with my health plan. So they just said basically “learn to deal with the pain” which isn’t working. My joints are so locked up and swollen I can’t even move most days.
