I am sick of people who claim cannabis is bad for you, it’s exceptional for pain relief and is less toxic than your everyday paracetamol or ibuprofen and provides better relief that you cannot overdose on.
Cannabis as some research shows can help stop forms of dementia and be a wonder for arthritis!
cannabis is also good for recreational users! cannabis itself smoked in pure form wont give you lung cancer! it’s safer than beer, causes the complete opposite to beer, making people chilled, relaxed and feeling good, cannabis may also help those who have eating disorders what causes them not to eat. . . cannabis causes the munchies.
anyone else agree?

I do. Cannabis would be legalized. All the people suffering from cancer, kidney disease, chrons disease, IBS, degenerative arthritis, fibro myalgia, glaucoma and etc. would be relieved of the pain they live with everyday of their lives. Daily pain leads to depression. The drug companies have turned doctors into drug pushers. Taking their pain pills leads to addiction, as does antidepressants. Antidepressants in some instances make people more depressed which leads to stress, which leads to more pain. How many politicians use cannabis behind closed doors, not for pain relief, but because they want to feel better and in a euphoric state from the stress of their jobs? How many medical professionals use cannabis for the same reasons? Why not let these people with chronic pain have relief, because if they do the drug companies and pharmacy’s would lose money. Doctors would not get the great incentives from drug companies such as money and exotic vacations. Politicians wouldn’t get their kickbacks they get from not legalizing cannabis. Can you imagine your parents, children or even you being hauled off to jail, because of having a better way of life, if they use cannabis instead of taking prescription drugs. People are getting addicted to these drugs and some mixing the medication with alcohol to ease their chronic pain. These prescription drugs and alcohol are rotting peoples internal organs. How many people on these drugs or alcohol are getting out and driving and having auto accidents maybe killing themselves or a whole family or even paralyzing someone or causing someone else to be in chronic pain for the rest of their life. Your family could be next. How many people do you know that have killed themselves or other innocent people in auto accidents, when only using cannabis? I don’t know any. People are committing suicide, because they can’t take the pain any longer. How would you feel if a relative or close friend of yours committed suicide, because they couldn’t take the pain any longer and had rather be dead instead of living in constant pain the rest of their life. These people would most likely still be alive, if they weren’t afraid of using cannabis, because it has not been legalized. I hope people reading this that don’t think cannabis should be legalized might have a different outlook on this subject.

Back in the years 2002-2004 I had a case of osteomiolitis (aka bone staph infection) in my left humerus. I’ve had Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis since 6th grade (or at least that’s what the doc’s thought) which traveled around my body frequently. So my parents and I assumed that’s why my left arm hurt so much. But this pain was different, and a bit too late we found out it was staph. But that’s just a quick history to lead up to my question: When my arm was hurting 24-7, I was taking sometimes 12 Ibuprofen every 1-2 hours for months at a time. I read somewhere that you should consult a doctor if you take 10 ibuprofen in one day! I’ve never had any symptoms of kidney or liver damage, and I’ve had numerous bloodtests during all the staph business and there’s never been anything said about it. The only thing is I’d go through a bottle in 2 weeks (those 500 count bottles) because I couldn’t sleep for more than an hour without having to get up and take something. Please serious answers only! Thanks
Yes, serious answers are all I want. Like I said, there’s been no concern from doctors in the past, but I don’t know if someone on here may be an MD or had similar experiences. And thanks!

I was in an automobile accident in November 2006 which I was not at fault.I was hit head on by a driver running a stop sign. The next day I went to the Emergency room for shoulder pain.It was believed that I had whiplash and the pain would go away. The pain did not go away and about 2 weeks later I went back to the ER for a followup and I had Xrays done. After the Xrays an MRI was scheduled and the radiologist found that I had swollen bone marrow in my shoulder from the accident and osteoarthritis had quickly set in.Besides pain and pressure of my shoulder feeling like it was going to fall off, everytime I moved it grinded and was popping.I was sent to a bone/joint specialist and they recommended to excercise it by lifting weights to ease the pain. I went back 6 weeks later (today) for a followup and the pain has stopped but the popping/grinding has not.I will have the arthritis for the rest of my life. The insurance company wants to settle and I dont know a monetary $ value to tell them.
First of all the osteoarthritis WAS from the accident and I have proof from the radiologist that it was caused from “tramatic injury” aka the accident. I am only 22 I had no previous injuries or problems out of my shoulder. I even asked if it could have set in that fast after an accident and the radiologist and the specialist both agreed that it could even at my age. I just wanted an idea of a fair amount to ask for given my condition. I am not out looking for a get rich quick scam or anything.
My medical bills are about $2200-$3000 and I also purchased some weights to lift as suggested by my specialist to ease the pain.
I forgot the damage to the vehicle was about $9000 and the frame was bent but the vehicle wasnt totaled cause the bluebook was about $18,000.
What I really want to know is how much is pain and suffering actually worth? I was in a lot of pain and was drugged up for like 2 weeks and didnt feel like doing anything. I don’t know a value for something like that. I just want to know something fair and nothing money. They offered only $1000 and that don’t seem fair since the arthritis will probably give me problems later on down the road.

With marijuana now being legal for medical use here in Michigan, I’m seeing a huge number of people that have suddenly developed illness in order to get their medical marijuana card. Things as petty as muscle aches, and headaches. Things that can be easily remedied by taking some over the counter aspirin or ibuprofen. This in turn is making things that much harder for people with real pain such as cancer patients, rheumatoid arthritis sufferers etc… to get relief from their pain because you have recreational users abusing the system so they can get high legally. I know the state has regulations in place already, but should they be a bit more strict in order to curb the stoners from getting a get out of jail free card.

I have a 6 year old male Boxer. He was hit by a car 5 years ago and has always had a funny little limp ever since. He never cried in pain, but his limp would get worse after long walks. He went 5 years without have any serious medical issues. About a month ago he started moving much slower, sleeping longer, and eating less. Eventually he completely stopped eating so I took him to the vet and had his blood work checked. They also did a urine sample. His blood work came back normal but his urine showed an infection. They gave him antibiotics. He gained his appetite back, but never any of his energy. Pretty rapidly he was sleeping constantly, started having problems getting out of bed and off the couch. He started to whimper and cry in pain, limp all the time. Sometimes he cries so hard he sounds like he was shot by a gun.

I took him back to the vet, the only problem is that funds are extremely limited for me. I recently went through a divorce that ended with a foreclosed home, so also bad credit. There are no vets in town that will take payments and I was denied the care credit card to help pay for my dogs expenses. During the standard physical exam they decided that the cause of his pain was severe arthritis that started forming 5 years ago from the car accident. They gave me Rimadyl and Tramadol to help his pain and relieve some of the swelling. It has been 48 hours and he isn’t doing any better. In fact I think he is doing worse. He falls down every time he tries to stand up, he can’t climb up stairs and if I touch his legs he cries in pain.

I feel so awful and have no idea what to do, he is in serious pain and no vets are willing to run any tests with out immediate payment. How are so many of us, who sadly are living paycheck to paycheck supposed to help our animals? What would you do?
