I’ve never been diagnosed with either lupus or RA; however I do have symptoms and severe arthritis. I started taking Methotrexate and the resulting fatigue is really draining me. I work full time and need more energy for things like doing laundry and cleaning my house. I’m single and don’t live near family. Any suggestions for engergy boosts?
I didn’t explain myself well….I have been to a fabulous doctor and do have a diagnosis of fibromyalgia, grave’s disease and sjogren’s syndrome which is an autoimmune disease that can concur with both lupus and RA. I have equal symptoms of both diseases which makes it difficult to decipher if I have one or both of the diseases. Currently, I’m taking methotrexate…a mild chemo drug that is supposed to work miracles with connective tissue diseases. The side effect of fatigue is really taking its toll on me. I’m looking for advice on natural rememdies or therapies that can help to fight the fatigue. Thanks for all your responses.
what is the symptom and sign of them??
please help me…
My father suffers from serious rheumatoid arthritis and has purchased a tanning bed thinking it will help him. He experiences some mild immediate relief, but his condition is worsening and he wondering if the bed is adding to the problem? I told him i’d help him to find out some answers….does anyone know anything about this?
I have a few questions for you that are crucial, and may lead to a cure:
1) Do you or have you ever smoked?
2) what is the severity level of your pain from a scale of 1-10 with 10 being completely immoble
3) do certain foods make you sick?
4) Do you drink?
5) what age did RA start for you
6) where do you feel pain?
If you answer just 1 question that’s good enough for me, if you can answer these questions for someone else that’s good to.
oh and do you take anything with nicotine, such as nicorete gum?
Will The parent pass the disease or the gene to the kid? will the kid most likely going to have the autoimmune diseasewhen the kid gets older? what is the possibility that the kid will get that gene and may be triggered in their life for autoimmune disease or may never happen?
Various blood tests were positive, but other than general fatigue and achiness, I have not had any real swelling. Now, my middle finger on my right hand is swollen, stiff, and it hurts. I know RA affects everyone different, but is it common for it to progress one finger/joint at a time?
The SED rate has come back high with the ANA showing positive but the titer is still being done and pending. Nurse had no idea what this could mean and the dr isnt in the office until monday. I am completely freaking out about this. The RA they did with this came back negative and all my other blood tests were great.
What could this mean? I am so scared. The only real symptoms for something like this would be stiffness in my joints in the morning and some other things. No rashes, no fatigue, no weight loss.
The only thing I do have is anxiety and BAD GERD.
Ideas?
My dr was testing me originally for RA….RA would be one of the better outcomes other then lupus
I have had it since I was 9 (but I have probably had it since I was 7) and it is in every joint except my hips. I have pain everyday and have lost a lot of motion in my joints that are effected especially my ankles. So what do you think my chances are of having to get a joint replacement due to RA?
And also (because im 90% sure i do) what are some alternative remedies for helping the pain?
I am going to go to a doctor to find out. I’m not in a position to at the moment though. But I’m not going to take any western medicine- so to speak- because i know it doesn’t address the root cause.
So i really want to hear your suggestions
