Home remedies for osteoarthritis of the neck (Cervical spondylosis)?

I’ve recently been diagnosed with cervical spondylosis, and it can be very painful at times. However, I am more concerned about the degenerative nature of the condition than the pain. I am only 40 and I’m very active. I have read that a cervical collar can be very effective in preventing damage; but won’t that cause atrophy of the neck muscles?

I was looking online for herbal remedies and I found this site that is selling Cephas Powder. Does this work?

It is a finely ground shinbone from St. Peter. You put it in a blender on high with ginger root for one minute, strain, add maple syrup, and drink. Do you think this will cure my arthritis and bipolar disorder?

My mom was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and she gets these really bad joint pains to where she is unable to get out of bed at times or even unable to move her fingers. The doctor prescribed her some medications, but none seem to help. Are there any real good home remedies that actually work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.

I have Fibromyalgia, Arthritis, Rheumatism and all the other things that come with the package. An example of how fragile I am,,,,,,I once peeled potatoes for a soup kitchen and had to be put on steroids the next day, I felt like a steam roller had rolled over my hand. The Doctor said all the little “bubbles, or cushions, (if you will), were busted and that cushioning we need dearly so we don’t feel like our bones are rubbing against one another. At other times, I just wake up with some severe pain issue as if someone beat me up in my sleep, so what the healthy person considers a cramp can feel like fire, or feel like a bees nest is living inside me, or…. Like someone is inside digging away at my tissues and bones, or ripping my flesh from within. NOW I AM positive you understand. I wanted to give a little pain history so you could better advise me. I would prefer to divulge no further details as to why this happened. I want to ask if anyone knows any treatment, which maybe a relative has passed down that I could use. I’m asking for advise other than cold and heat, different than bath with salts, different than oils to rub, already been there. I know this is probably not a common request, but I have always respected answers I have received in the past from the Yahoo community. I have many big knots on my face and head. Under my eye, my eyeball is even sore, and I think he shoved me to the floor by hitting my face with an open hand; the next is huge scrape and swollen arm, feel like foot bones are crumbs. My left side of me back, below the bra line and right along my spine. My face is really bothering me, oh…my hands, or fingers also. Just an FYI, I was only trying to remove a Game cube from someone. TEENS!!!!!! Oh, I am moving to Florida next week around the Tampa area and I would love to drop the lovely one off for a few hard lessons. Anyone knows of a military school, or some place similar, that could help I would appreciate the information. He is 16 and needs to reach a bottom with some sergeant a millimeter from his face, or he needs to learn some serious life manners. I cannot deal, and would rather not respond with my fist. Two wrongs do not make a right.

had surgery 3 months ago, had level 4 arthritis removed, 2 bone spurs, and decompressed a nerve, now there is bone popping, painful, and muscle spasm debilitating, surgeon won’t consider more surgery (to place a cap on top of shoulder, to young for shoulder replacement) have used pain killers for months and muscle relaxants also, just doesn’t provide relief, anyone got idea for relief?

If one has osteoarthritis, and is looking into natural remedies, is it a good idea to include Butcher’s Broom?

The actual product I’m looking at is Cool Cayenne. They sell this with or without the Butcher’s Broom herb. Would it assist the performance of the cayenne for this condition?

Hi, there. I recently finished taking the 14 day medications for H. Pylori bacteria that caused a duodenal ulcer (ammoxicillan, clarithromyacin and nexium). I finished the treatment about 3 weeks ago. For a while I didn’t have any pain, but I’m also taking an NSAID called Lodine for arthritis, and it’s known to irritate anyone’s stomach ,especially someone who’s had an ulcer, so the Dr. had me continue the Nexium along with the Lodine. The Lodine has really irritated the ulcer anyway. It’s not in my stomach but in my upper left chest in my esophagus. After taking the Lodine for 3 weeks (I started it the day I finished the antibiotics), these past couple days the ulcer has felt awful. I can’t get in to see the Dr. for over a week. They told me to stop the Lodine if it hurt, which I will, but I still need to do something to heal the ulcer.

Does anyone know of any home remedies for ulcer relief? I’m so scared that there’s major damage. I took another breath test for H. Pylori after finishing the treatment but haven’t heard back yet on the results, so I’m not sure whether or not the bacteria is still present. Please let me know of any suggestions to help it heal or ease the pain until I can see my Dr.

My MD means well, but every time my RA flares up they wish to prescribe some antinflammatories.. or better yet.. oral chemo to treat this progressing disease.

I have noted early deformity in my left hand #2 digit… I currently take a slew of mutlivitamins but also omega3 fish oils, and oil of primerose.

Any other suggestions?

With the colder weather my dog seems to have trouble getting up. I can tell she’s in pain and she limps for a few seconds when she gets up. Is there a home remedie or over the counter drug I can give her to help with her arthritus? She’s a 16 year old Chow.

My dog who is 4yrs old and about 12lbs and a Maltese (she has arthritis) fell off my bed last night and now she is limping like crazy, and all she does is sleep. I can’t bring her to the vet until Tuesday, so until then, what are some good remedies to keep the foot in shape for now??
