I’m 21 and I have been pretty lucky thus far with my abdominal cramps being very minimal. My period only lasts me 3-4 days and on a rare occasion a full week. The day I get it I’m fine until I see it; once I see it the cramps begin. They only last me about a day and I’m very sick during that day (having to spend most of it in the bathroom) but by the next day I’m functional again. I started taking an herbal capsule three times a day for the past month now (after using the extract four months ago) and I have absolutely no cramps and have to go to the bathroom rarely. Unfortunately due to an orthopedic issue which started when I was 9 I have very bad arthritis in most of my joints. A few days prior to my period my joints start popping a little more and I have to crack my elbows, knees, ankles etc. in order to feel some relief, then the day I get it I am stiff as anything and experience twice the joint pain and severe back and hip pain(my issue is with my hips and I have a limp which threw off the rest of my body). I’ve been lucky enough to minimize the abdominal issues, but why is my period effecting my arthritis so badly and how can I stop it or at least minimize it?
I’m also very into holistic medicines, so if anyone has any knowledge in what kinds of extracts/herbs could help something like this I would be very appreciative. (I take glucosamine and condroitin, omega 3, and zeel)
My mom was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, and she gets these really bad joint pains to where she is unable to get out of bed at times or even unable to move her fingers. The doctor prescribed her some medications, but none seem to help. Are there any real good home remedies that actually work? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
Ok so my mom is in her late 40’s. She is in good health, besides her slight high blood pressure and seasonal allergies. Out of nowhere she started getting really bad joint pain in her knees.
She describes it as a pulling and sometimes a little cracking sensation in her knees, the pain travels up and down the back of her leg. Today a wierd symptom emerged, she had joint pain in her toes and feet.
She is pretty active normally, I can’t think of anything that could have caused this that was in her control.
Does anyone have ideas of diseases or links to this type of pain? I read something about Crohns disease…idk she thinks it might be early arthritis, but I argued that it wouldn’t feel like how she describes because my grandmother has osteo arthritis.
She is currently changing her primary care doctor after a terrible experience with her current one. Until then can someone tell me some common treatments that can be done at home for the pain in her legs?
Thanks!
I have a Rott-Lab mix, she is around 12 years old. She had Arthritis in her back leg, she has some bad days, but not too often. Also she has pretty much no bladder control. I really don’t want to put her down, just the thought makes me teer-up…What do I do? Please help before I put her asleep.
it pretty much hurts in my elbows knees wrists and sometimes my fingers. even though im only 18,could i have arthritis or is this even symptoms of a form of arthritis?
I suffer from Arthritis pain constantly, and a Friend told me about Magnetic rings and bracelets that is suppose to ease the Pain. I kind of a skeptic, so is this worth my time and effort?
I recently went to the hospital and was told that I had osteoarthritis and Since I don’t have insurance I can’t find not one orthopedic doctor here in Lexington to do an MRI scan on my left knee. It hurts to bend, put pressure on it, stand longer than two hours, I cry all the time and I feel like I’m on fire. what should I do.
Is there any real outside influences that can predispose one to this type of arthritis?
