I am a 160 lbs woman with healthy liver and do not drink (Excluding a glass of wine bout once every four or five months, but that’s hardly worth mention) and I’ve noticed, for some time now, that in order to get any pain relief at all I have to take 2000mg of acetaminophen otherwise I get no pain relief whatsoever. I know the max recommended dosage is 1000mg four hours apart or 4000mg a day but for some reason 1000mg provides no pain relief whatsoever and I can’t afford to keep getting prescriptions for stronger pain meds like I use to. I don’t have to use them too often, only about once or twice a month when my arthritis gets too bad, use to the normal sore pain I have, I only take them when it becomes too much to function.

Anyways, my question is this, does anyone have any idea why it would take a dosage of 2000mg for my body to get any pain relief at all? It’s been like this since I was a teen and doctors use to prescribe me vicodin because of it for normal pain relief, thankfully I didn’t get addicted to it, unfortunately it’s too costly to keep getting the prescriptions. I still don’t know what may be causing me to need such high dosages of pain meds to get any kind of effect, does anyone know any possible causes for such? I do intend to ask my doctor but be nice to have a few suspected causes to start off with before trying to figure it out.

I am only 26, but I have been playing guitar for 15 years a good bit each day. Is it possible for me to have Carpel tunnel syndrome? It’s only on my left hand and every time cold water touches it, it aches. Any ideas?

I was just diagnosed RA and am suffering BIG TIME! Does it get better?

Okay, so for the past few months I’ve had trouble walking as I always end up getting pains shooting from the sole of my feet all the way of my calf muscles. I went to see my GP and they took bloods and it was revealed that my ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate) was normal thus ruling out rheumatoid arthritis. Pains are pre-dominant in my knees and hands. I should also point out that I’m 16 and my mother has rheumatoid arthritis.

Anybody have any suggestions as to what it could be?

Many thanks in advance.

I saw advertisement and my dog has arthritis.

Would it help?
Pain be gone is for pets!!! I wouldent give it human medicine genius!!! lol

I’m a 55 year old female and have had a little arthritis since in my 20′s. It started in my fingers and seemed to be somewhere different every year. Now is the worse it’s ever been. About six months ago it started getting bad in my hips then my shoulders. Now it’s in my left shoulder only and is exxxxxxxtreemely painful. I went to the Dr. and he gave me pain pills and they didn’t help. Now I’m on an anti-inflammitory and it doesn’t seem to help either. Can anyone tell me how I can get a little relief until I go see the RA in Oct.?

My dog holds her rear leg up at times. This isnt consistent. I cant tell if it is a leg cramp, or arthritis, but a friend and a vet suggested Bayer unless it gets worse. Has anyone ever used Bayer for their dog? She is a small Yellow Lab mix, weighing about 55 pounds. I am not sure whether to give her a children’s Bayer or a half an adult’s Bayer.
