I am 18 years old and have no history of chronic illness or cancer in my family. Recently I have experienced dull pain in my forearms and in my joints of my hands. I have no other symptoms, but i have experienced the pain for at least two weeks on and mostly off. I am still active, i have no fatigue, and my skin looks completely normal. I think I am too young to have arthritis, so does that mean I might have leukemia or bone cancer?

Thanks.

A friend recommended Osteon and many pharmacies don’t seem to have it. Any ideas of stores that may have it? or other arthritis pain relievers that DO work for relieving pain?
Thanks.

when i sleep i usually sleep on my side, and when i am on my left side i wake up in the middle of the night with alot of pain in my hip and up in my butt cheek that feels like a throbbing or a sort of numbness., once it wakes me up i roll over and it goes away. it doesnt give me any problems during the day when im walking or sitting or anything. just when i sleep or sit in my bed.
ive read things about arthritis and it seems to have the symptoms i have.
but im not 100% sure
if you have any ideas please let me know
thankss :D

My dog was diagnosed with arthritis a while ago, after he had surgery on his ACL.. We had him on prescription medicine but we decided to switch him to a strong joint supplement due to cost and lack of progress made on the medicine. Just the other day he started crying when walking and climbing up the stairs. We have immobilized him for a few days and he seemed to get better. Last night there was a strange dog on our property and he decided to chase it away, now he is back to square one. He isn’t limping but the pain seems to be under his back legs or in his tailbone. Please help!
Oh yeah and stop suggesting I bring him to the vet. I am not financially able to right now you brainwashed fools.
I am pretty sure it is a slipped disc. I am taking him to the vet ASAP. Yeah! Another expensive genetic disposition related issue!

I am a 26 year old female and for the past couple of days I’ve been experiencing headaches and body pain.

I live in Iowa. We’ve been experiencing some strong wind and some heavy showers. So I’m not sure if this pain is weather related or what. Here are my symptoms:

Ear/Jaw Pain – A little over a year ago I had a really bad ear infection in my right ear. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been experiencing ear/jaw pain. Sometimes it throbs. The ear/jaw pain started on the right side then it also started hurting on the left side. Its not constant pain. The pain comes and goes. I’ve noticed though that when I’m outside in the cold and wind sometimes thats when I experience the ear/jaw pain.

Neck Pain – The neck pain didn’t start until yesterday but when I woke up this morning I had a lot of neck pain.

Headache – I woke up this morning with pain in my temples. At first it was throbbing pain (non-stop) but then after I was up for a while then it wasn’t so painful but I’m still experiencing some pain in my temples. I have allergies so could allergies cause this?

All over body pain – For the past week I’ve been experiencing all over body pain off and on. But yesterday I had the all over body pain all day and now today so far I’m experiencing the same thing. Its like an achy feeling.

Tiredness – I’ve been feeling tired for the past week. I sleep well at night (I get at least 8 hrs of sleep) but I wake up in the morning feeling groggy and tired.

What could these symptoms mean? I have allergies and arthritis. Last spring I experienced these issues and my husband was thinking maybe I had fibromyalgia. He wanted me to go see a specialist but I decided not to at that time. So could this type of pain I described could it be fibromyalgia? If it is fibromyalgia should I see a specialist? Is there anything I can take for the pain?
I got my period last friday. I’m just trying to figure out whats going on with my body. So could my period cause this type of pain?

I’m pretty sure it’s just arthritis, but my dog is really sore and he can barely move. If he tries to stand up he starts whimpering. It’s so sad I want to help him, but I don’t think there’s much I can do. Can I give him ibuprofen or something?

if you need to know he’s a 10 year old, soft coated wheaten terrier.
I did massage him, and I’m going to wait another day or so before I take him to the vet. the vet usually says there’s nothing I can do that’ll be $5,000. and the ibuprofen I guessed he probably wouldn’t be able to take it but I just wanted to make sure

I have torn disk in my back and neck and arthritis in my neck as well (I have a lot more stuff, but these are my major complaints) My doctor sent me to a pain specialist and he thinks I have sleep apnea, that it may be why I am in pain and also why I can’t lose weight. Anyone else out there have Sleep Apnea and what are their symptoms? Did it help anyone else with loosing weight????

Over the past few months, I’ve been having a reoccuring pain in my right hand. It stems from the base of my thumb, where it meets the bone of my index finger. It will often fade for a few weeks, then start up again, often when I do something that involves my thumb on that finger, such as playing my cello for extended periods of time.

I’m only sixteen, so I don’t believe it’s arthritis. I also looked up the symptoms, and it doesn’t sound like arthritis either. I feel pain while lifting things, holding things, and also if I lean on my hand. If I try to roll my wrist around, it hurts. I also feel pain when moving my thumb into some positions.

My mother has been convinced it’s just a tendon that needs to be stretched, and has refused to take me to see a doctor. However, now I’ve started to feel pain across the other areas where my fingers meet my wrist, and she says we’ll ask about it at my next physical, which may be up to a month from now, depending on when she can get an appoinment.

I would just like to know what this possibly could be, and if I should be concerned about it. Can it wait until a month? Or should I see a doctor now?

When I lay down, within an hour I am in horrid pain. Bringing me to tears and moaning in my sleep… (Both sides are equal)…the pressure on the hip I am laying on at the time is really bad and I find myself flipping from side to side all night. I sleep with a pillow between my knees because my knees hurt bad as well. I get shooting pains all over from my waist down. I also get stabbing sensations like needles. No rhyme or reason…no real pattern. I have Fybro, arthritis and hyper mobility syndrome. These symptoms are new within the last 6 months. Could they be symptoms of these or something else? I was diagnosed several years ago. Is it possible to develop new issues after so long? If not, what else could be causing this much pain?

My mom who is in her mid to late forties is starting to feel signs of week knees. She works at an office that requires her to walk up and down a set of stairs about 5-7 times a day. It’s not an extensive set of stairs but she she is beginning to feel pain and weakness in her knees. She also feels a slightly shakiness from the inside of her knees. Could it be a weak cartilage? Is it mild or the beginning stages of arthritis in the knees? She’s never has these symptoms before.

Can you suggest any over-the-counter medications for knee health?
