I asked a question about tooth replacements the other day. Since then I’ve been doing alot of research on it. I had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as a child. I recently got into an accident and busted 2 of my teeth. So I’m facing life without 2 teeth (mind you, I’m 23), or tooth replacements. The reading I’ve been doing says that you should be in good systemic health for a tooth replacement, and anything rheumatic is considered systemic. I’m not sure if I should risk potential problems, or just get a denture for those 2 teeth. My oral surgeon said there’s no way a tooth replacement could cause problems, but then why does some research say otherwise? I guess I’m at a crossroads of what decision to make. What do you think? (fyi: the teeth in question are bottom pre-molars)

I have a 17 year old mare that has mild arthritis. We are schooling pretty high level dressage right now, and its intense. She’s ridden 6 days a week for about an hour. She moves out beautifully, she’s really at the top of her game right now. So far, the riding is actually suppressing her arthritis symptoms. Its when I just let her sit, especially in the cold, that she gets fairly stiff. She’s on Cosequin right now as well.

So how will I really know when she’s ready? She puts up with a lot of bullshit, she’s waits to the last micro second to show she’s in pain. Should I invest in hock injections? We show very very often, pretty much every weekend in show season. Would this be a good investment?

we have been married for almost 40 years and I have always trusted him with my life until this happened, now my trust is wavering. He is very fit and loves traveling, he volunteers with a disaster relief organisation, I cannot travel with him as I have rh. arthritis and are unable to do the things that he does, but I would stop him doing what he wants, but about 6 months ago things changed, furtive phone calls hours on the net, sometimes all night, not wanting me around when he is on the net. I know her name, telephone number and email address, he met her in Thialand and since he has been back it has carried on, on the internet. I am at my wits end, not just for me, We have three grandchildren 2 of which depend on us totally, and this is going to break their hearts. I have tried to talk to him about this, but all he says is that I have nothing to worry about, I am sure he is lying. If anyone out there can help in anyway I would be very grateful.
the reason why I have posted this on the Thialand site, if she happens to read this (and I have ,I think given her enough information) she can contact me through Yahoo answers. Being about 3000 miles away it is a bit difficult for me.
would Thairad please get in touch I did not make a note of your email, I really would like to chat with you

My name is Em and I’m 18.
I was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at 3, and I continued to suffer from joint pain, mostly in my legs for years. I was tested again at 16 and was told that I no longer have JRA. However my pains have only increased and spread to what feels like the joints in my fingers, hands, wrists, toes, ankles, and knees. I also experience sharp and dull pains in my muscles every where in my body. Some times the pains feel so deep it’s like there in my bones. Other times they cause my muscles to feel extremely sensitive to the touch. (My mother tapped me on the arm to get my attention and I literally cried. It felt like she had hit me as hard as she could.)
Because of this muscle sensitivity, and because I also suffer weak spouts in which I feel very fatigued (and have actually fainted three times) my doctor, after testing me for everything she could think of, has diagnosed me with fibromyalgia.

I’m not quite convinced.
From what I’ve learned, Fibromyalgia is more of an umbrella term, a generalized term for muscle-nerve auto immune disorders we really don’t know much about.

My uncles, two identical twins in there late 40′s have more or less become lab rats at Mayo Clinic. Their Doctors have tested them for everything under the sun and are unable to come up with a diagnosis. All they know is that it is an auto immune disorder that is related to the nerves and effects just about every muscle in the body.

My uncles symptoms are similar to mine, except MUCH worse. Apparently it worsens dramatically with age. My mother also experiences the same pains, worse than mine but slightly less than my uncles because she younger than they are.

In addition to the muscle and joint pains and the weak spouts I experience;

trouble sleeping, and staying asleep,
terrible and frequent migraines that seem to be triggered by bright florescent lights,
and strange vision problems (it will seem as if the lights in the room will brighten suddenly, blinding me until I’m literally squinting and this makes it impossible to read in class or really function)

Shifts and changes in weather seem too worsen all of my symptoms as well as what I eat and my stress level.
If theres anything anyone know of that might help, please anything, just let me know
