i have pain and it doesnt hurt bad and i wanna know if i have it so would Juvenile Arthritis hurt really bad

Since I can remember, I’ve always had stiffness and pain in the joint of my middle finger.. The joint inflames and becomes very painful and then goes down to where I feel almost no stiffness or pain. The joint, even when it isn’t inflamed is significantly larger than the rest of my finger’s joints. I’ve had this pain since before I started school, and now I’m 18. I would love if anyone has ideas to what it may be or if they know for sure that it’s a very mild case of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis.

ever since5th grade i get random joint pains that were in my feet then they got to my knees and a couple years after to my hip and now in my wrists and fingers and they last for a couple hours I know that its not growing pains because i get them everyday and sometimes they swtich like from my knee to my foot or fingers to my wrist and recently they’ve been getting alot worse (pain wise) also ive been getting a pain on the side of my head but not a headache and my pains don’t happen on both sides of my body like only my left foot/ankle and hip get it and hurt then only my right wrist fingers and head get it and hurt any ideas? thanks so much

does any one else have it? im 13 and was diagnosed when i was 10. right now i have serious pain in my right wrist. (im currently typing with only my left hand.) i tried heat and that doesn’t seem to work anybody with the same problem have any ideas on what i could do?
thanks

I have had juvenile RA for about a year in my hands and feet, but also in other joints too, just that it hurts the most in my hands and feet. I take methotrexate once a week and ibuprofen whenever i need it. I am 13 and I don’t like having it because my fingers are always very swollen and I am very thin so its really noticable. I also have rhenos (I think that’s how you spell it) so my fingers turn purple a lot, especially when I am cold. Does this have anything to do with my RA? will my RA ever go away? I heard from my doctor that sometimes it will go away.

I’m 16. My symptoms showed up about a year and a half ago. It’s really frustrating and I want to know if the chances of me suddenly becoming normal again are likely are not. I get really bad ankle and foot pain, mainly in the right one and I haven’t been to school in 3 weeks because the flare ups have gotten to a level that’s unbearable. I am beginning to get extremely depressed and haven’t been able to hang out with friends in far too long. My legs are also getting incredibly weak due to the fact that I can’t work them out because of my foot. I think I should also add that I like to swim and am pretty good at it. I really wanted to do it this year, but was unable to because of my grades (which were a result of constant hospital visits and missed days of schools because of arthritis). I really hope I get the chance to swim next year and would really like to start training myself by swimming and working out as often as possible. One of my goals is to be one of the best. Please help me, any advice would be appreciated. My situation is so frustrating and I am constantly becoming furious and upset. I really need help. Will I be able to outgrow this? Thank you.

I have had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis for 13 years now, I am also 18 my doctor took me off my meds for my juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and for almost 2 month well i went back because my knee was swollen for 2 weeks and won’t go down with ice, Motrin, or bandaging it. well i finally got my meds back from OTHER doctor at the same office but i had to get x-rays and a blood work. well x-rays showed that my knee bone had changed and she wouldn’t say why what is it.

I’m 17 years old and I have been semi-diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis by a physical therapist. I have difficulty and moderate pain moving my joints, namely my wrists, elbows, shoulders, hips, and knees. The worst of it is in my arms and makes basic activities (such as writing my name, typing this) hard. I’ve always heard that the best pain relief solution is aspirin. I’ve tried it, but it doesn’t help at all. I’ve tried heating pads, muscle rubs, but nothing helps. Is there anything to make this pain go away.
I’ve had the same symptoms since I was 11. My joints would swell terribly, especially my ankles. My parents thought it was growing pains, but they started to get concerned when I turned 13. My joints were literally popping out of their sockets, mostly my hips, knees, elbows, and shoulders.

Oh, and I went to the physical therapist because I was officially diagnosed with tendinitis throughout my entire right arm as well as nerve damage in my hand and a rotator cuff injury. I draw a lot. ^^;

My niece has just been diagnosed with juvenile arthritis. They don’t know what kind yet. I didn’t even know there was more than one kind! Can you recommend a good medical website that explains this in plain English and isn’t trying to sell you quack remedies? Do you know of any family support groups for this? IS this something that will go away or that she is likely to outgrow? She has been in pain for several weeks and has missed a lot of school (no, not for snow where she lives!). She is almost 12 and hasn’t hit puberty yet. No other medical problems known, not overweight.

Any useful information?

Thanks!

**How funny, Y!A wanted to put this under politics!
