What horse joint supplement help prevent arthritis?

I have a 14 year old QH who I event with, he has never had any lameness issues and I am trying to find a supplement that will help prevent arthritis. He is on cosequin equine powder but he does not really eat it, also it’s expensive and I have not seen much improvement in his joints. What LIQUID or PELLET joint supplements help prevent arthritis, lubricate and help the joint.
Also, what are your opinions of yucca? I heard it is just false treatment of the joint.

Joint pain not caused by arthritis?

I have severe pain that started in my left knee about 8 weeks ago. This is a pain I’ve had off and on for years and was originally diagnosed at Patellafemoral Syndrome. It flared up again about 8 weeks ago and then about 6 weeks ago, the same pain flared up in my right knee. About 2 weeks ago, I started to get the same severe pain in my left wrist. The doctor has me on an anti-inflamatory, Tylenol 3 at night and Tramadol during the day. The anti-inflamatory does nothing for the pain. The Tylenol 3 does help me sleep a little better, but is otherwise ineffective against the pain and the Tramadol does make the pain more manageable, but I am still unable to stand up or sit down with out using my hands and arms to support my weight (by the way, I am 5’9″ and about 160lbs-well within what is normal and healthy). It is impossible for me to put weight on either of my knees and now my left wrist without severe consequences. I have had tests rule out rheumatoid arthritis and gout as well and my x-ray looked clean. My doctor does not believe it is arthritis-related, but does not seem to have any other leads. Is anyone out there familiar with a non-arthritic joint pain that spreads rather rapidly from joint to joint? I am not extremely active and have not suffered any recent injuries nor have any of my lifestyle habbits or eating habbits changes. I am just at a loss as to where to go next and am tired of being in pain and being doped up on narcotics that work only minimally. I am extremely frustrated. Please help…thanks!
In response to the first answer, I know that it is not PFS due to the fact that it is now in my other knee and the doctor ruled that out. Also, PFS doesn’t explain how it is happening in my left wrist as well. But thanks so much for the response!

joint pain from storm-arthritis?

Whenever there is a storm that comes in i have massive amounts of pain go through my shoulders into my elbows. Just recently it has started to go into my wrists. I am wondering if it is a sign that I will get arthritis when I am older. I am 20 and have lived with this for 3 years. I have old volleyball injuries and multi-directional instability in both of my shoulders. If anyone has any ideas for pain treatment, so I don’t have to take narcotics that would be awesome! I have passed out from the pain a couple times. I am at my wits end with the pain, and I don’t know what treatments there are, if there are any at all.

What is going on with me? Joint Pain, arthritis?…?

I’m 21 years old, female.

Past 7 months I have had finger and knee pain, dry eyes/mouth, ulcers, fatigue, face and chest rashes.

Blood tests, CRP, normal, Rheumatoid Factor, normal. CBC, normal. ANA positive.

Today my knees (especially my left) hurt more than normal. It felt like bone grinding on bone. I was sitting on my bed and my jeans were really hurting my knees, so I went and had a shower and looked in the mirror. My left knee is TWICE THE SIZE of my right knee. They’re both red, hot to touch and sore. My left knee hurts a lot, I can’t straighten it and it’s swollen.

I’m waiting to see a rheumatologist, but it’s going to take at least a month.. What do I do in the mean time??
My GP wont prescribe me anymore medication than the anti-inflams. My GP is being very vague, she just says ‘mmmmm’ and when I ask her what she’s seen/felt she says will it’s hard to tell. But she’s very good, I think she doesn’t want to scare me or tell me something when it’s not..

What health condition can cause joint stiffness other than arthritis?

I have a male relative around his mid 40s that can’t extend completely his legs when sitting in a chair or when trying to stretch during workout. He doesn’t have joint swelling or pain. He also have difficulty bending to pick something from the floor.
