It was said we should give her baby aspirin instead. She is 7-1/2 years old (Mastiffs usually live only 8 years), and she has a miserable time getting up on her hind legs because of arthritis pain. I’m just trying to keep her comfortable in her ending months. She still seems fine otherwise, just sort of crippled.

Now he is overweight, but only eats once a day. He is a shedder but always has a thick coat. He flunked the last T-4 on his 6th birthday. I would have to give him a pill twice everyday of his life. I do not have time for all that. He gets heartworm chews, parvo shots, Bordetella booster, Advantix, arthritis supplements, and prescription enteric dog food. He also gets continuously groomed and has a dogsitter. I have heard that low throxin in dogs may be due to early neutering. The humane society where I adopted him gave me no choice. He was neutered at 8wks before I was allowed to take him home.

I did some research, and found it is usually prescribed to dogs for arthritis.

It is not endorsed for reptiles by the food and drug administration for reptiles, either, only dogs and cats.
So I can assume that it is possible to overdose a gecko on this medicine? What if he accidentally got one more dose than he was supposed to? (He was supposed to get .1 cc per day, and I think, I’m not sure, though, he got 2 doses in one day).
