and have been dizzy. Do not sleep well at night. Very tired during the day. Been tested for bladder infection, negative. Any suggestions on how to slow the urinating down?

My symptoms include severe joint pain (in back, ribs, toes, feet, ankles, hips, shoulders, elbows, wrist, fingers, knees, spine, nose, collarbone and cheekbones) moderate muscle pain, severe fatigue, memory problems, concentration problems, headaches, major sleep problems, tingling in right hand, pain doing everything even laying down, sitting, walking, breathing, and talking, and I just found out after 2-3 years that I have Lyme disease and that I was misdiagnosed with Fibromyalgia and arthritis, I don’t have any swelling/inflammation that I noticed and I don’t have paralysis of my face or a rash. I just started Doxycycline HYC (Vibramycin) today and I’m going to be taking 200MG everyday for at least two months or more, I’m just wondering on average how long will it take to feel completely pain free if the treatment is successful. I haven’t felt pain free since I was 12 and I’m 15 years old now, I’m so happy this is curable, so so so SO HAPPY and that I wasn’t lazy I have a disease! Thanks everyone!

Specifically if you train with the makiwara, knuckle pushups and so forth, can you train hard for 25-30 years without developing joint problems?

My dog is 17 and suffers from arthritis. She weighs 70 pounds and has some problems getting up and laying down but still gets around fairly well and has a healthy apetite. She is on several medicationd for pain as well as condroitin and glucosimine. This weekend she fell in the freezing pool, I had to go in after her, she fell several times that night and over the course of the next two nights cried out because she couldn’t get up. I can tell that she isn’t very lucid, but she has some good days when she wants to play. She hasn’t wagged her tail in quite some time, but as I said before gets around well and has a healthy apetite. The vet came out last Monday and said that she was showing some signs of improvement, but that at 17 she is ancient for her breed and size. She sleeps most of the day, doesn’t want to be petted that much and doesn’t want to leave her closet. She will come hang out if we are eating dinner and she wants some food.

What should we do? I don’t want to keep her around if she’s not enjoying life, or even aware of whats going on around her.

but it always comes back in a few days. It is constant. I have to take Aleve 3 times a day just to feel normal, but it still is sore. Is this caused by the way I am sleeping? Do I have arthritis? I am 40 and I have had this for 2 years. I have cracked my neck almost daily for years to relieve it, and some people say that is bad for it, and some say that does not cause arthritis—-it is a wive’s tale. I don’t know what to believe. Some chiropracters say to sleep on my back, which I can’t do, because I won’t fall asleep. Others say it is not caused by sleeping, just stress. No one can give me a straight answer. I am afraid I will have to take Aleve every day of my life, which is no good for the stomach and liver, as I am a regular drinker. I feel it may get even worse, and then I will become a vicodin addict. My neck has been x-rayed and there is no problem. Would lifting weights (military press) help? Yoga? Pilates? What is this condition, and how do I cure it? I am desperate.

THE VET SAID I SHOULD PUT BOTH MY CATS ON A DIET IN ORDER TO MAKE THEM BOTH LOSE A COUPLE OF POUNDS. THEY’RE NOT VERY OVERWEIGHT BUT WE THINK ONE OF THEM MIGHT HAVE ARTHRITIS AND LOSING A FEW POUNDS MIGHT MAKE IT EASIER FOR HIM TO GET AROUND AND DELAY HAVING TO PUT HIM ON PAIN MEDICATION. NOW ALL THIS TIME I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT DRY FOOD WAS LESS FATTENING THAN CAN FOOD BUT APPARENTLY I WAS MISTAKEN.
THEY HAVE BEEN GETTING DRY FOOD ALL DAY AND I WOULD GIVE THEM 1/4 TO 1/2 A CAN AS A TREAT BUT I’M SUPPOSED TO SWITCH THEM TO A CAN EACH PER DAY WITH LESS DRY FOOD. MY QUESTION IS HOW TO HANDLE THE TRANSITION.
