His pains do not let him get a good nights sleep nor enjoy time with the family and he could hardly work. The doctors have checked his blood for lyme disease, b-12 level, and rheumotiod arthritis. Everything has come back negative. His symptoms include tingeling sensation in the legs, his knees, shoulders, arms, hips, ankles hurt. He’s taken muscle spasm medication, pain medication, sleeping medication and nothing seems to work. Any information or suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.
My basset hound, Maggie, is 4 years and 7 months old. I took her to the veterinarian yesterday thinking she had a urinary tract infection so the doctor did a urinalysis on her and said that I would definitely have to switch her diet since her PH is at a 9 and the proper level is supposed to be a 7. She also told me that she was going to do an x-ray on her to see if she had any kidney stones. To my relief she didn’t but the doctor took me into a private room and then showed me the x-ray depicting a more serious condition. She said she noticed an abnormality that she found in her spine. I don’t remember what the vet called it but she said that her spine is fusing together and that my dog would have to be put on Glucosamine Chondrodant that would help her with her joints but that her back had severe arthritis. She said that it could get to the point of my dog eventually becoming handicapped or possibly even paralyzed. How many people have experienced this issue and is there anything I can do to prevent it from worsening? What should I expect and how long should I expect her to lead a normal life? The vet wouldn’t say. She is my baby and even the thought of this happening to her just tears me up inside. Any advice?
My mom saw me wearing sandals today ( I always wear sandals until it starts snowing out). She told me later on in life from the cold weather my feet will most likely get arthritis. Is this true?
Started to happen 5 years ago, beginning first with pain and inflammation of left knee, culminating in just stopping almost all movement_sort of like a robot_as I walked across a parking lot, barely able to reach sidewalk. From then on I would start to walk pretty normal, but still with pain and stiffness, with all “cement-like” feeling coming back if I walked couple of blocks.
Seen by family doctor and checked for gout and arthritis, tests came back negative. Same for hospital visit less than 3 weeks later. When doctor referred me to rheutmatologist I could not manage by time I got appointment to even walk. Thought it just impossible to walk hospital grounds to get there!! Noticed with time that after couple of days of hardly walking or standing would make symptoms die down considerably. But now, five years later, being able to walk total of maybe six blocks daily and regular walk from one place to other in home, etc., has brought back pain, now mostly right knee and both legs.
I have had knee problems since my senior year in high school 2001 when I played basketball. I had microfracture surgery in jan of 2002 and my meniscus was partially torn and was only out of work (weatherization) for 3 weeks but my knee felt good. The pain comes and goes and I can’t stand or sit for any length of time due to pain. Cold weather really bothers it which makes me believe its early signs of arthritis. I can play basketball now but i wear a sleeve on my knee for compression becasue of tendonitous. When I was born my feet were curved inwards and I had braces to straighten them. I’m only 24 and want to know if malaligment is whats wrong with me and if there is anything I can do to get it corrected.
or is it only possible using MRI?
I know the best is to syringe and test the fluid but they would need a preliminary finding before they do that.
My girlfriend does not have insurance, she can not afford insurance. The only medication she has been prescribed is 800mg ibuprofens which she takes twice a day. It cant be good for her liver. She is in so much pain all the time, I want to pay for her to visit the doctor to get some real pain killers. Which pain killers are most effective for this problem? She can’t afford the 2000 dollar a month shots for the arthritis that her doctor wants her to take as well, so that is not an option. What should she do or say when she visits the doctor in order to get some relief besides from ibuprofen. She also has a thyroid problem as well as some sort of muscle problem which started acting up increasing the pain even more.
The doctor recommends a medication that costs 2000 dollars a month without insurance, something like 500 with insurance. Maybe if I robbed a bank or start dealing some serious drugs I could help her… Seriously, shes training to be a nurse as well, hopefully she will get insurance, but right now I’m hoping that she can get hydrocodone as its only like 20 dollars without insurance, I know about the side effects but surely it must be better then taking ibuprofen. Basically my question is what can she do to get her doctor to prescribe something she can actually afford? Beg?
Well i am 15 and have had problems with my feet for so many years, i couldn’t wear normal shoes without them hurting, and when i wore trainers for school the teachers would shout at me, i would then wear normal shoes which made lumps come on the outsides of my toes. It all came too much and i begged my mum to take me to the doctors and he said they were bunions and told me to see a podiatrist, then over 14 weeks ago i saw him and he was doing loads of tests on my feet, legs, arms, hips, shoulders, neck and back. He said my left leg was shorter than the other and he also said this is a for of arthritis and if i don’t get my feet sorted to now further down the line i will have a lot of pain and need a new hip. He also said my feet were flat and something needs stretching in my leg so he showed me some ways i could stretch my legs which i started doing and still do twice a day now, he took casts of my feet and 6 weeks later i was given some insoles which would correct my feet and they wont be flat no more, when i finally got the insoles i was able to wear them all day after about 2 weeks only the right one would hurt. Then i started getting pains in the outside of my knees and the top of my back would hurt whilst doing simple jobs like making my bed, i went back to him a few days ago and i told him about the pains and he said that the insoles were too big to start off with and he then said he will get me some other ones, he also gave me some cushion thing to put in my left shoe to make my left leg longer. Iv been to town with my nana today and i had the cushion thing in, the right foot feels alot more painful and it hurts to wear the insole in the right shoe, then left leg isnt that bad. My back is very painful and it hurt to walk, iv just come home and lay down and my back still hurts to lie down. I have taken pills a few hours ago but that only cured my head ache.
My back, neck, arms, legs and feet hurt… how do i stop it?
Sorry for it being so long, i just wanted to include as much detail as i could so you could help me better.
Your just a bitch, what is the problem with people who are over weight, they are still human, if you cant be nice then go die you waiste of space!
Well the doctor said that instead of the shoes now, they add things into your normal shoes. Which is the insoles and soon i will have insoles which include the thing to make my left leg longer. I dont think there is any rush because its been like that the whole of my life.
