For example, people with diabetes have to exercise and keep their blood sugar at a certain level. I wanted to know what do arthritis patients have to do apart from taking medication?

ok so yesterday night when we were going to bed my dog yelped as my dad tried to pick him up. we all thought it was just a muscle cramp and massaged him( it seemed to work) so we went to sleep. then at 10:00 about an hour later he yelped again, so again we massaged him. Now every time he gets up from resting he yelps! i dont know whats wrong with him. is it a sprain, arthritis, torn muscle, what?
after i massage him he seems fine. i called a few vet places and they said to bring him in just in case its not something even worse.
im just wondering what should i do in the mean time before i take him to the vet to help with the pain. NO ASPRIN i already gave him one (doesnt seem to help) he is 11 year old dachshund

Knee pain from arthritis-info needed?

I have been having problems with my knee and received a injection of predinsone yesterday. In the early morning hours after the injection I woke up with excruciating pain and could not bend my knee without strong pain. Is this a result of the injection?? I have called my doctor and awaiting word back.

joint pain from storm-arthritis?

Whenever there is a storm that comes in i have massive amounts of pain go through my shoulders into my elbows. Just recently it has started to go into my wrists. I am wondering if it is a sign that I will get arthritis when I am older. I am 20 and have lived with this for 3 years. I have old volleyball injuries and multi-directional instability in both of my shoulders. If anyone has any ideas for pain treatment, so I don’t have to take narcotics that would be awesome! I have passed out from the pain a couple times. I am at my wits end with the pain, and I don’t know what treatments there are, if there are any at all.

Relief from fibromyalgia?? hurt. please help?

Been diagnosed with fibromyalgia for about 4 or 5 years now. Been on numerous medications preescribed by the DR such as Lyrica. Been to rhumatoid arthritis drs who said they can’t help me. My whole body aches and hurts, my brain is so foggy I can hardly remember a thing and I am severly deeply depressed. Any recommendations? Please anyone help. I’m willing to do or try anything. Thank you

I have been having bad lower back, leg and hip pains for the last 8 months or more I am a cyclist and when i am riding or playing basketball where my body is warm i don’t feel the pai but the moment i sit down and my body cools off or i am lying in bed at night the pains come back and this happens everyday i was given medication by the doctor and also pain killers called Voltaren but it doesn’t help the pain goes like this ten seconds its in my back then ten seconds after it goes down my leg then it jumps to my groin like that what do you guys suggest i do or what therapy can anyone advise me so i can get some form of relief.
Anyone involed in sports medicine or injuries can you offer any assistance please

Can you develop arthritis from a bee sting?

A year ago I was stung in the center of my palm from a bee. It affected my middle finger for a few days. It was extremely sore, swollen and itchy. It all went away over a few days. As of recent, my finger has been hurting for about 4 days now, right in the knuckle. I’m wondering if I may be developing some type of arthritis because its the first significant rain we’ve had in the area in months. People say their joints can act up when its going to rain.

would my dog benefit from these joint supplements?
