I have been noticing more and more a pain in the bottom right side of my right knee. I am not sure when this started, I think some time ago, but it has started to concern me a little because it not only has not gone away, but it seems to be getting worse and spreading.

When it is cold out or muggy it hurts the worst but it is very painful even when the weather is good. My symptoms are; it hurts very badly to walk, I get a sharp pain whenever I do, especially for long periods of time/distances, when I DO walk, it gets to the point where I can no longer bend it. It used to go away (and be able to bend) after I got home and either slept for a while or remained sedentary for a while, but now, no matter what I do or how long I remain sedentary, the pain does not go away (it DOES lessen, but not by much) and know it seems to be spreading. My right hip and thigh are becoming more and more sore and tender and it hurts to walk even more because of it.

Now, I KNOW this will make me seem paranoid for saying…but I thought it might be arthritis, but the symptoms I am showing match up with not ONLY arthritis but wth bone cancer as well. The reason I mention the bone cancer is because cancer is quite prevalent in my family and I have already had some trouble with my bones before (I don’t remember the medical jargon or the fancy termanology, but the end result was I shrank 2 or 3 inches)

Can I really have arthritis at 22!?
Any suggestions on what it might be or what I should do?

My mom has this really strange heel pain where it hurts primarily on the inner sides of the heel. On the bone of the heel. This has been going on for years. Now the bottom of her heels are going numb in conjunction with the side heel pain. She likes for me, literally, to use a hammer and bang where it hurts becuase it makes it feel better even though it hurts while I’m doing it. So strange, I know. What could this be? She has fibromyalgia and just recently told she has the RA factor in her blood which she was told could lead to arthritis. Since she has been experiencing this pain for so many years, it seems odd that the RA could be causing it now. Years ago a doctor gave her a shot and some sort heat treatment which were unsuccessfull. Any advice?
It usually hurts at night, so when she is resting or laying down…
Does anyone have any experience with heel spurs?
Shes been to the doctor, but never specifically for her foot except the one time many years ago where she got the shot, etc… Doubt its caused by an injury becuase its in the exact same place on both heels…Nerve damage, maybe?

My daughter has felt bad for several weeks. She complains of aches, sore throat, back, and legs. She has a history of strep throat and had a tonsillectomy in JUNE.

(related/unrelated?)She had a fall a month ago and Doctors brought up hip displasia and possibly arthritis. It was later explained by an Orthopedist that her recent growth had caused tense bands from her hips to her knee and she merely needed therapy to help stretch and strengthen that ailment.

Two weeks ago she started complaining about not feeling good, she complains of aches, sore throat, back, and legs. The doctor said she must have a virus possibly in her adenoids? No treatment was given and she was told she would feel better in a few days (it seems a mini epidemic was happening in our community) but today it has been a week since that doctors visit and all she wants to do is stay home and lay around and she moans and whines when asked to get up or do something. Except for around 5:00 – 10:00 p.m. and she seems to get some energy.
Normally I’d just think she doesn’t want to go to school but today we took her back to the doctor who did Blood work for strep- and Mono- it came back with a wbc of about 4000 about half of what it should be. Strep and mono were both negative.
What could the causes be?
Is Leukemia a possibility?

Thanks Norton!
Joe C thanks and I’ll always take a prayer for me and especially for the kids!

my friends mom quit her job and cant drive because she cant move her hands from arthritis. she is 48. is this possible? she takes meds 2. could it be somthing more serious?

Ok,so about 2 years ago I went into hospital with a realli bad pain behind my ear(you know the bone behind the ear?ya that one) and they put me on anti-biotics,which worked while I was on them, but not after that. They also took a CT scan (because they thought it was mastoiditis) and nothing showed up. They put it down to lymph nodes being swollen. A few weeks later I was sent for a bone scan on my ear by another doc,and nothing showed up. Recently I have been experiencing excruciating pain,so we went to ANOTHER doc,and he sent me for an MRI on the said ear,but we haven’t gotten the results back yet.
A few months ago my elbow on the same side(my right side) swelled up and hurts realli bad,and the doctors don’t know what it is either!! I was just wondering, could these be related??
The day before yesterday,I was also feeling realli ill, realli terrible, and I was in soooo much pain(and I have a realli high pain threshold as I have arthritis, none of my problemos are linked to arthritis)and the night before last,I felt like I was gonna die, Seriously. Yesterday myself and my mom went into town, and I felt so ill,I was getting cold swests, even though it was realli dead and hot,and then I’d get roasting hot,and start sweating again. This went on and on,cold, hot, cold hot all day.
A few weeks ago,my right leg sewlled up completley also, and we didn’t know what it was.
I’m on medication for my arthritis, methotrexate 10mg by injection, Infleximab by IV and painkillers and anti-inflammatories also. So far today I have getting cold and hot again.
Can Anybody help please??

I have a developmentaly disabled brother, who just got diagnosed with “advanced rheumatoid arthritis”. And we haven’t got to speak with a specialist yet. I am just curious what to expect. thank you.

I have had this since January and am miserable. It comes and goes. When I take cortisone I feel great but I know I cant live on that stuff. It will kill you eventually and eat up your bones. Can anyone help with an answer???
