They started, I think, when I was 5 and still continue to this day. I don’t have the pain all the time, and it’s not always in both knees. I am overweight now, but I wasn’t until a few years ago. Also, when I bend my knees, they crunch. I’ve gone to more than my share of doctors about this and no one can tell me what it is for sure or how it can be treated, if possible. Any ideas?

I took him to vet.. he said it was probably arthritis and said if there was pain to give him an aspirin. There is rarely pain but just recently he started having accidents (just poop) and just yesterday he has started having problems standing/walking. he kinda hobbles.. or just drags his back side. Is there any cure for this? Im afraid of what the vet will tell me and he is not in any pain.. still very happy dog.

I was desperate and it was very helpful, but I am sad to say I had to put Louie down yesterday :’( I never thought I would be able to but on Wednesday he never got up once. He ended up wetting himself Wednesday night and pooping on floor without ever getting up. I would have cleaned up after him for years but I know he was humiliated and had never peed in house let alone on himself. He was also crying Wednesday night as he struggled to get up, it broke my heart. :’( I KNOW putting him down was the best thing for him, but my heart is broken. Thank you again for your answers, it means so much that complete strangers would try and help me and my baby boy.

20 years ago when my body started hurting my Rheumatologist said I had ‘a little’ arthritis in my feet, but he never said to check back when it gets bad…ugh! Hope I haven’t been damaged too much. The joint swells when I eat ‘gluten’ and ‘soy’..so painful! Thanks yall-

I now take allopurinol but will get gout a couple times a yr. A chiroprator told me to get off the ibuprofen and de-tox and to see a chiro. Could it be that Ibuprofen is affecting the kidneys and causing the gout? I’m 69 and for a week I’ve tried to eliminate food and drink[alcohol] that are detrimental and will try more exercising and stick to this diet when the gout is gone. Can anyone suggest a better solution?Will diet and exercise w/o medication allow me to be w/o pain and stiffness?
