psoriatic arthritis treatments and pain?
I was wondering what the best treatments for psoriatic arthritis are. I was diagnosed with it in my back,hips and hands and the pain is severe. I am going to my doctor to discuss the pain getting worse and to see what can help quell the flair ups ,help inflammation and what meds are most effective for the severe pain since darvocet does not help the severe pain in my sacram and hips. Has anybody been treated for this and recommend treatment options to ask my doctor about ,especially cheaper medications .
You should be able to get some relief in your back and hips by freeing up the muscles in your back so you can move more easily than you are right now. Some of those pains can be from tight muscles as from anything for they all end up hurting. Your back muscles can be pressing onto nerves going to your hips to give you pain in them as well. Here’s how to free them up to get rid of that pain:
Back:
(do from a sitting position)
Place your left hand on your left leg next to your body. Place your right hand over your left shoulder, fingers over the back and the palm in the front and firmly pull down on them and hold. After 30 seconds slowly lower your body forward and to the outside of your left leg, keeping your left arm fairly straight as you do. When you reach your lap remain there for another 10 seconds, release the pressure but rest there for another 30 seconds. Then reverse your hand positions and do your right side.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.
