Pregnant with Arthritis?
I was diagnosed with arthritis (JRA/RA) when I was a child. I have been off all med and have not had any flare ups for about 13 years. I am now 28 and 13 weeks pregnant. Ever since I became pregnant my arthritis (knee and ankle) has started to flare up – gradually getting worse making sleeping, walking on stairs and sitting in my desk chair more and more uncomfortable and painful.
I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there is anything you have found that really seems to give some relief.
I have been elevating – or trying to find a comfortable position that relieves the strain on my knee, heating and sleeping with pillows. Just looking for other ideas.
I also have JRA due to a condition I have and am 23 weeks pregnant. Mine is worse since being pregnant but I have not found anything that really helps. You can take tylenol, but if your like me you know it doesn’t help.
I have my husband rub around my joints but not on them and elevate my legs a lot.
You could try taking glucosamine, which is a vitamin which helps with joints etc.
Hope you feel better soon, and congrats on the baby
I heard an older lady one day talking about what she put on her joints for arthritis, you may not believe this but she used Pam cooking spray. I hope this helps cause I don’t know for sure I just heard it from an older person.
my doc prescribed loritabs but i had 4 broken vertebrae and arthritis
