My mom has gout and needs relief.?
My mom is almost 60 and is having leg problems. I know all people have joint problems when they get old but l just wanna help her out. Her legs get stiff and her ankles become sore a lot. What I wanna know is if there are any types of proscriptions or creams she should get. Any one with arthritis or know someone with it should answer this.
This is not gout and does not sound like arthritis either. She should probably get medical advice.
True gout responds to sour cherries (or sour cherry extract) but the foods that cause it must be avoided.
If she has gout, she needs to take her medication. She should ask her doctor about the value of exercise and massage to help keep her active.
Does she take any anti-inflammatories prescribed by the doctor? Before you can start helping, you need to know what she is taking and what her doctor advises in terms of activities and exercise. Make sure that leg rubbing is a good idea and then get something with shea butter or cocoa butter in it that isn’t too greasy. I used cocoa oil and coaca butter for massage.
