I’m sorry to hear that your dog doesn’t fell well. I’m sure your parents will make the decision when the time is right. Its a hard thing to do.
Call your vet and let him know the meds arent working. Maybe he can prescribe you somthing else.
There are a lot of different medication for this and not everyone will work for one dog. She may just need a high dose. What is she taking? Is it Rimadyl?
I get this question a lot about when it is time, and the thing I tell them is when she doesn’t enjoy her favorable thing in life like tennis balls, belly rubs ect. Then you will know and trust me you WILL know when time is right.
They do have creams and ointments and stuff that will help, its usually available at pet stores with out a perscription, but it doesnt work for every dog. You could try fish oil tablets too, this will help lube the joints..but again not 100% effective.
You will know when its time..if his quality of life is bad then you must let him go..trust me i know its hard!! just put yourself in his paws!! and like i said i know its a hard decision to make so if you need any more help let me know!
