Is there any herbal medicine to stop Arthritis pain in the joints?
I have pain in most joints and somtimes accompanied with swelling and stifness. Prescription medicines are OK but very expensive here. Is there a Chinese herb or combimation of herbs that could help?

Hi! Ok, for the swelling use Chammomile essential oil…rub it on topically (like you would a cream)…it is a wonderful antiinflammatory, and will take care of the swelling quickly – some of the pain as well. I always use Feverfew, an herb you can get at the health food stores, for pain, especially arthritic pain or head pain. It is wonderful, and works within just a few minutes. If you are on blood thinners or have a blood disorder, or are pregnant/nursing, you should not take Feverfew but take White Willow Bark instead because of interactions. Also, stop taking Feverfew a week prior to any surgery.

I had arthritis in my right knee and hip, but I have cured mine with apple cider vinegar. 2 tbls. in a glass of water before eating or waking up in the morning or just before bed really works for me. I also exercise. I can bend my knees like never before. I feel 20 instread of 50. I can do so many activities now. I’m afraid I don’t know of any herbs that can do this, other than willow bark and pills would be glucosamine chondroitin, however, drinking apple cider vinegar is VERY cheap and it helps to relieve the symptoms of arthritis and rheumatism. You just need to drink it in 8 oz. of water every morning and evening.
Stay away from refined sugars and dairy and it should alleviate a lot of your pain. Also, ginger compresses work well. You can make one by purchasing a ginger root that would grate to about the size of a baseball.
Place the grated ginger in a square of cheesecloth and tie it with a string to keep the ginger from coming out. Bring to a boil, 4 cups of water. Squeeze the ginger root sachet that you’ve made into the water, (lots of ginger juice will come out), then add the sachet to the water. Simmer for about 15 minutes. Take a cloth the size of the area that you want to cover and dip in the water, (by the way you can reheat this and use it several times before throwing it out. It will continue to work well). Wring the cloth out, and place it on the area that you want to work on. When the cloth gets cool, dip it again and repeat the process. You should get some relief from this.

two thoughts on this, i have actually used a combination of both..i don’t have arthritis that i know of, but i do have joint pains, on an irregular basis, and this helps..

I am 52 yr old woman. I have arthritis in my wrist, back, neck and ankles. I use and swear by Food grade Diatomaceous Earth. I have no pain and feel like I did when I was twenty. Muscles – example headaches below.. Muscles get knots called trigger points. These make the muscles tight causing them to press on nerves and other thing.
Pain can be referred from places other than the head.
#1 The first thing is to take a couple swigs of molasses or eat a couple of bananas. They contain magnisium and potassium both of which muscles need.
#2 WATER she should be drinking 1/2 gallon minimum. The head of neurology at UCDavis likens a body running low on water to a car running low on oil (the engine can seize).
