Is Synnovitis Rheumatoid Arthritis or a symptom of RA?

Im confused because my MRI showed alot of synnovitis, is it a symptom a RA or is it RA? Thanks for any help>>>>

It’s a symptom of RA.

Synovitis means inflammation of the synovial membrane that lines joints. The suffix -itis just means inflammation, arth- means joints so arthritis is inflammation of joints.

Rheumatoid arthritis refers to a specific type of arthritis, where a problem with the immune system causes excessive inflammation and damages the joints.

RA refers to the underlying disease process, synovitis is one of the symptoms.
