Is it safe to take Alvedon 500 mg when you have arthritis on both your arms and legs?

   Alvedon is Paracetamol tablet which is a safe drug in most conditions. Just make sure that your liver function tests (ALT and AST) are normal. But Paracetamol is a weak analgesic and it may not relieve your pain if it is moderate to severe. Don’t take more than 4 gms per day (8 tablets). If you are taking this tablet once in a while and if it is relieving your pain it is fine. But if you have to take it regularly then better to ask your doctor for a better one and he may also want to check for any bone secondaries if the pain is serious.

   Alvedon Suppositories should not be combined with other analgesic medications that contain paracetamol. Paracetamol should be given with care to patients with impaired kidney or liver function.

   Label and Leaflet will state the following warnings:

   Label: “Immediate medical advice should be sought in the event of an overdose, even if the child seems well”.

   “Do not give with any other Paracetamol-containing products.”
