ive been told by vet it was ok to give them baby asprin, it works but not the best.. Just get ahold of your vet and they will something that helps alot better.. Im going through the same thing..
Sometimes it is ok, definitely depends on the size of the dog. There are other products which can help more like Cosequin (glucosamine and chondroitin)…this is something you should discuss with your veterinarian.
It depends on the weight of your dog. My lab is about 90lbs and I give him a 1/2 an aspirin – regular. But a I’m not sure how much of a baby aspirin. I give it to him for the same thing. But I did accidentally drop one on the floor and my other lab ate the whole thing…nothing happen to him and he’s about 70lbs…what a brat. That’s why I rename them to BRATADORE RE-STINKERS…hee hee
No, because any asprin causes ulcers the size of pin holes throughout their stomach. I just found this out via my vet last week cause my 10 year old lab has the arthur disease like his owner. There are new meds that will work just fine without the stomach issues. Go see or just call your vet and see what then can give you. Tom started with a sample and it is working great. Tomorrow I am calling in for a script and am very pleased to be able to keep my ole man healthy and happy.
Dogs are not human even though we may believe they are.
Their constitution is very different and what is good for us is not for them . For example chocolate is poison if you give it to a dog.
So I recommend you call your vet for advise if you really love your pet. bye
The vet told me that to give our older dog childrens 81 mg aspirin and never ibuphoren or tylenol. She weighs 19 lbs now I have her on arthritis medicine from the vet its called zubrin and she does real good on it. You have to take care of your pets whom I call
all my petreen. (like all my children) soap series.
There are arthritic medications out now. You really need to cunsult your Vet to see what is in the best interest of the dog. The Vet may suggest aspirin, but they might want to examine the dog first before hand.
Only Baby Asprin
depends on the weight of the dog. our dog was about 50 lbs. and the vet told us to give her half of a regular aspirin once per day.
if it’s a big dog give it one baby aspirin and a small dog give it a 1/2 of one
no…it will hurt the dog. You can give half a baby aspirin
only.
I have given mine baby asprin but then I took him to the vet and the vet prescribed something better. Call the vet and ask for the dosage.

IT’S BEST TO CALL YOUR VET BEFORE GIVING YOUR DOG ANY MEDICATION. JUST THINK HOW YOU WOULD FEEL IF YOU CAUSED HIM OR HER DAMAGE.
if you use asprin only baby but it will thin the blood and it is a lot healthier to use tylonal

She is an animal science major…

my vet says no
