I want to exercise but my joints hurt from arthritis?
I am topped out breaking 200lbs. I don’t eat crazy and think that I am pretty good about what I consume. I used to be really active, but after I had a skating accident at 14 and since then developed arthritis my activity seems to continuely become less and less. I love to swim and go as often as I can, but I really can’t afford to go more that every two weeks. Any suggestions?
Is it arthritis or tendinitis you have? Tendinitis you can work with to get relief and often the two are confused and called the other thing. Care to drop me a line and explain a little about what happened, what part is giving you the most trouble and all, and I’ll see if there is something that I know of that may help you with the pain.
There are exercises that you can do seated, A show called “sit and be fit” for people with arthritis is on T.v. There are videos available on you tube for all types of different low impact exercise. Yoga is also an option. The wii fit offers different types of movement that is low impact. It would also help to know where your arthritis is. If it just effects your knees then lifting light weights while sitting is a good workout too. Keeping moving is very important so that joints don’t become stiff core muscles don’t weaken causing back issues. No matter what, keep moving!
