Eat less, and go swimming. Swimming will not put any extra pressure on your joints as your body is bolstered by the water. It’s not big on the weight loss scheme of things, but it will help.
Try swimming. The water will support your weight.
Good luck!
What kind of meds are you on for the psoriasis/arthritis? Enbrel (very pricey, but covered by most insurance) works for psoriasis and also rheumatoid arthritis (not psoriatic arthritis, but along the same lines.) If you have the psoriasis under better control, it would probably help the arthritis.
OK, I know it can be really intimidating to wear few clothes (I have psoriasis myself), but you might want to try water exercise or swimming (as long as the chlorine doesn’t bother you.) It reduces joint strain, but you still get a good workout and plenty of resistance from the water. I’ve done water aerobics (I’m OK at swimming, but I don’t like it all that much) and it’s fun and nobody can really see you once you’re underwater. I’d recommend it–just do what you can and hang out in the pool until you feel like rejoining the exercise.
I’m sorry to hear you have psoriatic arthritis–hope you can find an exercise that works. It can be hard to get out in front of people who aren’t always sensitive and supportive, but, f*ck, what can you do? I’ve fielded plenty of intrusive, embarrassing questions about my condition, and it’s not easy, but you just do what you need to do and anybody who wants to give you sh!t about it can go to hell. Good luck, and make sure your medical treatment is addressing your problems, too.
check with http://www.northeastmedical.org/health_info/cardiac/content.cfm?pageid=P06359, and check that with your body weight, your degree of activity (inactive), your gender for amount of calories needed, also get fat grams needed. Keep track of foods eaten in a day. check them against how many calories and fat grams you can have to keep weight even, (less to lose). Now you can steer your weight any way you want it. Get a stationery bike inside, near your tv.
read tips about some great yoga routines on this site that might be better option for you or swimming
Swim or do water exercise in a heated pool. It is good exercise (and can be a lot of fun), and the warm water can help with inflamed joints. You should also check to see if you need to reduce the calories you eat.

I agree with the others, do water exercises. Good luck and don’t forget to consult with a physician before you start any exercise routine.
