Gouty arthritis is caused by high level of uric acid in the blood. What about rheumatism?
I wаѕ wondering whу doctors simply diagnose patients tο bе afflicted wіth rheumatism without tests аt аll. Thеіr priscriptions usually еnd up аѕ PAIN RELIEVERS οnlу wіth costs widely gapped. NOT cure thus thе pain always return аftеr thе priscribed drug іѕ consumed οr аftеr thе pain hаѕ become emmune tο thе drug.
Rheumatoid arthritis is a difficult disease to diagnose as there are no definitive tests that ensure a 100% accurate diagnosis. Diagnosis is usually made based on a trend in a series of lab tests and by the history and physical. Even people who have a positive RA factor may not have RA. People who have a genetic HLA (human leukocyte antigen) may be predisposed to it but not necessarily experiencing it. You may also see an elevated sedimentation rate and possibly some anemia. You will see an increase in uric acid levels, but that is not specific to this disease.
Like I said, the history and physical are often the best clues to what’s going on.
I do not know of any doctor that diagnoses rheumatic disease with out test at all. If your doctor did then it is time to see a new doctor.
