Rheumatoid Arthritis Archives

I am 25 years old and I have a severe case of rheumatoid arthritis. I have had this chronic, debilitating disease for 3 years now. I just need advice, comments, ideas, or anything to help me cope with this disease. I am trying to education myself about this illness.

Also, does anybody know where I can get support from others? Sometimes I just need someone to listen or who can relate to me.

I have been begging my mom to go to yoga class with me because her rheumatoid arthritis is getting worse. Her hand is deformed from it. She thinks it will make it worse, but even her dr. said she needs to do yoga or she will be paying $1200.00 a month for shots for her arthritis. Has anyone had a good experience with yoga?

I have a developmentaly disabled brother, who just got diagnosed with “advanced rheumatoid arthritis”. And we haven’t got to speak with a specialist yet. I am just curious what to expect. thank you.

my friends daughter has rheumatoid arthritis severely and she is ten years old. it breaks my heart to see her lying on the couch in pain and to not be able to do things other kids her age can do. she has a hard time writting and doing a lot of things that put pressure on her bones and joints. she loves doing crafts and i was wondering if anyone knew of any special tools or things i could buy her to make life more comfortable/ any ideas???
she has the arthritis because she had meningitis lime from a tick. its only going to get worse and i was thinking of things i could buy her that she could use like special shoes or scissors or wrist bands or something to make her life more comfortable

I currently have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it would be nice to speak with others who have the same.

hello, my mother has bad rheumatoid arthritis, and is trying to not take too much medicine (pills) so she doesnt have to face addiction and the fact that her body will become dependent on chemicals. I work out, so i bought some whey protein (A LOT!) and i was wondering if it would help relieve some of her rheumatoid arthritis if she had some every day. i saw something online about it and arthritis, just not sure which one…. 10 points best answer :)

I am having my widsom teeth extracted on Friday and I have Rheumatoid Arthritis. I am being “put under” with general anesthetics. Are there any extra risks involved with being put under because of the Rheumatoid Arthritis? I will be stopping my meds before and after the surgery, but just wondering if that alone will keep me safe.

I have to do a research paper in medical terminology and I decided I would write about my mom’s rheumatoid arthritis. In the research paper I am supposed to pretend that I am a reporter discussing a disease. I wanted to interview my mother about it, but what would be some good questions to ask her about it?

rheumatoid arthritis is a disease caused in part by this organelle. when it becomes leaky, it releases digestive enzymes that normally digest waste products and other materials. if released into the cell, these enzymes degrade cartlidge in joints.
