Why does everyone assume the “middle class and poor people” deserve to be that way or that they chose to be poor?
I was raised by a single mother, along with my 3 siblings, we were all on medicaid until we turned 19, I’m 22 now… I graduated the top of my class, and couldn’t afford to go to college and lived in a small town that didn’t get very many scholarships so I went to a Technical School and finished all the recommendations within 1 year.
I have Tension Headaches, Migraines, Psoriasis, Psoriatic Arthritis, and Severe Depression and Anxiety, all of which I had before I turned 19. I also have 5 deny letters from different insurance companies because they can’t insure the “already sick”.
I am paying for all of my medical expenses and the medicines alone (2 for tension headaches and migraines, 2 for depression and anxiety, 1 for psoriasis and medicated lotion for psoriatic arthritis) equal to about 12,000 a year. Not including the amount for head scans and ordinary visits I make.
How is it my fault that I can’t afford to buy a home or vehicle?
