Okay, so my girlfriend and I have been together for about a year and a half now, and she has severe depression and is on Cymbalta. She recently stopped taking her medication a month ago because she feels it “controls her life.” Our relationship has been rocky from the start, but has never been this bad. She has JRA, also known as Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, and stopped taking her Methatrexate, which is a steroidal medication to stop the inflammation of joints. She stopped taking that medication as well to try out acupuncture. So amidst all of this she has been off of the medication that has helped her feel happy, as well as the medication that keeps her from pain.

She gets mad at me for the littlest things. Tonight, I said she couldn’t come over because I am not feeling well and need to sleep. I will see her tomorrow. She flipped out on me and told me that I am not trying at all and that I don’t care about her or love her. This has happened about ten times since she stopped taking her medication.

I just want her to start taking her medication again so we can get back on track. I really feel like if she doesn’t, I am going to break up with her. What do I do? Our relationship has been terrible, and she does not treat me well, even when she’s on her medication.

I got into a bicycle accident yesterday. Landed on my chin. I got 7 stitches to close my chin up, and I have a small jaw fracture. I saw the dentist today, who referred me to an oral surgeon. I didn’t lose any teeth in the accident, however, 2 of them were cracked, and there are horizontal fractures on both. The dentist thinks she’ll have to pull them both. I’m 23, so there’s no way I’m ready to go through life missing teeth, so implants are an option. How safe are they? Infection wise? Does anybody have tooth implants? Or do any dental professionals know any research on it? My mom thinks my history of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis could cause a relapse with something foreign in my body.

I am a young writer and I am currently writing a book about a 14 year old girl called Jennara Haugen who suffers from polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis.
It is written from her point of view as she struggles through life. When she was 10, she found out her auntie and cousins, whom she was rather close to, were moving to New Zealand. When they finally moved over there, it caused Jennara to suffer badly from depression. It affected her badly as she was just about to move up to secondary school and this depression prevented her from making friends, and she lost a few friends she had before. She wouldn’t eat or sleep, she wouldn’t talk to anyone. She would just sit alone and cry, cry until she fell asleep.
Just a year later, when she was nearly over her depression, her grandfather died. This really didn’t help with the depression, so it got worse. And just 7 months after that her great-grandfather died. Her life was never the same again. She didn’t think her life could get any worse until she started getting bullied at school. Yet she found a new best friend who understands her and stands by her.

Anyway, I really need to name the book. I have a couple of ideas but they don’t sound very good. So does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for the help guys!
I decided to go with ‘Believe in Hope’

So I cut for like 5-6 months. But for the almost the past 2 moths I have been stopping because I have realized that it is wrong. I have slipped up 2 times but that was more in the beginning. I want to tell someone because it makes me feel guilty that no one knows and that when people have asked me about the scars on my one wrist I lie and say my dog scratched me. My therapist told me the only thing that she has to tell my parents no matter what is if 1) I hurt myself 2) someone is hurting me 3) I want to hurt someone. But the thing is that I use to hurt myself. The reason I don’t want anyone else to find is because everyone I know refers to people who cut as crazy. My dad has even said straight up that people who cut are crazy (he is a teacher for kids at alternative school and some kids who go there cut). So if I did tell her would she tell my parents or would it not fall under one of those categories because I use to do it?

BTW: I have to see a therapist because I have been thought a lot of crap in my life examples: lost my grandma a year ago and got a lot of medical problems juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, this thing that makes me pass out and other things. My parents are making me go. Also I am 14.
@ William: I am sorry if I came off that way I did not mean to. I know people have worse lives then me and all I was just saying.

Let me start for why I have been lacking sleep. I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis and I have been in unbelievable pain from it (but doctors think its not the JRA because my SAD rate was normal in the blood test so they wont treat the pain but I am 99% sure that it is my JRA and it was read wrong. They want me to get a second opinion but they are taking forever to set the appointment up). Anyway since the pain has been so bad it is hard to fall asleep and when I do the pain wakes me up right after I fall asleep. So I have been feeling really tired. But also dizzy, a lot weaker then before, and now I have diarrhea. Could it be lack of sleep be causing those things? Today was the first day I had those things happening. If it makes a difference I am 14.

I asked a question about tooth replacements the other day. Since then I’ve been doing alot of research on it. I had juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as a child. I recently got into an accident and busted 2 of my teeth. So I’m facing life without 2 teeth (mind you, I’m 23), or tooth replacements. The reading I’ve been doing says that you should be in good systemic health for a tooth replacement, and anything rheumatic is considered systemic. I’m not sure if I should risk potential problems, or just get a denture for those 2 teeth. My oral surgeon said there’s no way a tooth replacement could cause problems, but then why does some research say otherwise? I guess I’m at a crossroads of what decision to make. What do you think? (fyi: the teeth in question are bottom pre-molars)

I have juvenile rheumatoid arthritis at 16. One of the worst things that have ever happened to me.It gets pretty bad, especially in my right hip. I have taken percocet and it was great at first, but my tolerance is building to the point where it doesn’t help and might even make it worse. I also smoke marijuana, illegal where I live, but fuck it, It actually helps take the edge off and honestly does just about as good of a job as percocet without the gay ass withdrawls. Anyways, I remember when I was in a hospital 2 years ago, getting diagnosed, they would shoot me up with morphine to help me because the severe pain kept awake. And Morphine was hands down the best and most helpful. Anyway I could get Morphine. I don’t want to be a drug addict, I just want to be healthy and pain free. I hope everyone understands.

I am 25 and I have a small stature. I do not eat alot. I try to force myself to eat because I am never hungry. I do not know if this is related, but I also have always had pain in my knees and shoulders. It is a sharp and hot kind of pain when I move my shoulders certain directions and a dull throb the rest of the time. My knees will get very sore and swollen. I have had the joint problems since I was 11 or 12. A sports physician said he thought I had Juvenile Rhuemetoid Arthritis when I was 14 or so. I never had a real diagnosis, but I am positive that it is not growing pains considering that I still have the pain every single day. I have always just worked through it and ignored the pain. It eventually becomes less prominant as I get busy and start working. I am mostly concerned with the bowel movements though. I often have an upset stomach, and I have not had a solid poop in as long as I can remember. Honestly.. More than 10 years… I do not goto the doctor and avoid it if at all possible. I do not take pills, I am generally against them. I am curious what could be my problems and what I can do about it. Thank you
