Haven’t been able to do blood test confirming rheumatoid arthritis yet bc I’ve been sick. Current symptoms: extreme fatigue, laryngitis, and fever. Oddly, and thankfully, no joint pain except for two days last week when I felt better and had no fever.
Arthritis Symptoms Archives
My father was diagnosed with bone cancer- came from lung. Was told nothing else can be done. Took him to an alternative medical doctor- only given something to address pain. Tylenol was helping until they gave him Darvocet- only taking it once in morning and at night. Sometimes once during day. Was given Durgesic patches-which I refused to give him and the alternative med. doctor agreed. I am just wondering if there is something out there that may reverse or slow down his symptoms- We think its just arthritis, they state he should be in more pain. He’s 80 and otherwise in good spirits.
Also anything to increase appetite ? Thanks
We are Christians and are praying for a miracle.
feels like it is shattered inside. right about from my ankle down. the worse pain i have ever had. Doctor said bones look good and gout test was neg. Now he is saying to check back in a week. i can’t go another week with this pain what else could it be? So, that I can make suggestions for him to check for. I asked if it might be rhumatoid arthritis but he said it wasnt likely since i was not displaying other symptoms of the it?
I have been going to the doctor for a while with various problems such as insomnia, fatigue, migranes, rashes, hair loss, joint pain, and some other things. The doctor blows my symptoms off or gives me anti inflamitory meds. I recently went to a sports medicine doctor because an old shoulder injury was flaring up… when I mentioned I was having other problems with my joints he had me get a blood test and said it is a posibility it could be lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, or fibromyalgia. I haven’t gotten the results back yet but I looked up these problems on the internet. I am also on meds for anxiety. (another symptom) If I test positive for rheumatoid arthritis would it be possible to have lupus. I seem to have alot of the symptoms. and if i test positive how should I go about talking to my doctor so he will actually pay attention and possibly come to a conclusion. instead of blowing me off again.
the blood test the sports med doc ordered was for rheumatoid arthritis. I’m also wondering if I test negative for rheumatoid arthritis could i still have lupus? should I ask for other tests to be done?
Now, I don’t want any help on how to treat it by releasing the blood, blah blah blah, lol…I live alone right now (man is overseas), and I’m not really feeling much pain in my toes, even when this started–sure it hurt–but not worse than anything else my toes have experienced my entire life.
1) walked about 6 miles in 1 day in shoes I’ve had for some time now
2) bruises appeared on the right and left side of my right and left feet, respectively (right side of right toe, left side of left toe) at the base and migrating up the nail (so it almost looks like a *black* diagonal now on both nails)
3) the pain went away remarkably (kept off my feet
within about 3 days, it still hurt a little after, but not nearly that bad. (hence no reason to relieve pressure to the site)
Now…I go to the doc (ER) a week and a half after the “trauma” if you could call walking in sneakers “trauma” for a lightweight 26 yr old petite person, and all he found was a potassium deficiency, which does not align with the symptoms (also have been having bad bleeding gums, blood taste in my mouth when I wake up–no oral sores, just my mouth is bleeding? and also bad headaches, especially when I lay on my stomach, move quickly lower my head like when I’m picking something up)…easily injuring myself as well, though things heal with minimal use, I’m used to using my arms and legs for daily activities. I’m not 80 yrs old or anything!
So, I’m not asking if anyone else has experienced this, my feet are beautiful other than the trauma–no fungus or anything, so I’m not worried about that, and the sick sick photos online of people with toe fungus to relate to what’s wrong with my toes just don’t match up or relate. I cannot relate to foot fungus. I am worried something underlying is causing this, i have run 12 miles a day in these sneakers in my past and never had a problem like this before.
the doctor said it’s “trauma” (but from walking?) but then set up a referral for a regular doc. I don’t know what to think.
So that’s the question: does anyone know what underlying condition might appear to be potassium deficiency and be something else? It’s really not likely to be rheumatoid arthritis, as the bloodwork came back good for everything else (kidneys, liver, cbc, etc).
Thanks!
GOJI juice. I am considering purchasing it for health reasons, including improved digestion, joint health, and cardiovascular health. How have symptoms of whatever ailes you improved? Have you lost weight using it? Did it help your diabetes? Arthritis? Do you feel healthier? Younger? Less painful? I appreciate any and all honest answers. No sarcasm or snide remarks necessary. Thanks!
there are some times within a day that a sudden pain in my fingertips/toes come.
they come in either one finger/toe or clusters.
this is kinda disturbing me for some time now.
i need to know what could this be a symptom of.
i’ve no arthritis or anything and i don’t usually engage in sports so this probably ain’t an injury.
diabetic people’s blood doesn’t clot very well, does it?
69 lb male Australian Shepherd. Blood work was clear for internal organ function/electrolytes, etc. X-rays were clear of obstructions/foreign objects/abnormatlities. He does have significant arthritis in hips and spine. I’ve notice some launch failures in his rear legs over the past year when he is first getting up from a long snooze but, the past two days, he has been mostly laying down. The first night, he groaned and whined a little while resting and trembled a bit from time to time and sneezed alot. Since then, he appears to be comfortably vegging.
He will eat normal portion and drink if supported upright. If he is carried down front stairs he will pee and poop normally but, begins to bumble around and into things. When carried back in, he lays on his bed and will only lift his head to see what’s going on around him.
Vet thinks in the absence of X-ray/blood anomalies, his current symptoms are pain response to arthritis. We are trying arthritis meds starting this afternoon. Any other theories?
I have been having some really bad days with depression and pain. My body will ache all over like I am coming down with the flu, but I don’t have any other symptoms. A woman at work said it might be fybromyalgia, but the psychiatrist seems to think its depression. My MD says its arthritis. I don’t hurt everyday, but on days that I do I can barely move
I need advice. I cannot walk or funtion my daily task or care fore myself when I miss meds. Also I once did miss meds and had 3 days of withdrawl symptoms etc. Thought I would die. I have had since 1982 Fibromyalgia (in the most severe cases) Arthritis degenetive disc disease, depression, insomnia, sciatica, and severe hip pain ( I have been told I need joint replacement in my hips), I take 2 antidepressants, Lyrica for nerve pain, Oxcy 80 3times daily 0cxy 5 in between . Feldene, water pill for feet swelling off and on. I can’t recall the other meds now but I was told I would have to be on the pain meds the rest of my life. What do you say to this ?
