I am 45 w/ leg pain for about 3 years now, but getting worse. I could barley walk to my car after work. The pain is from the underware line down to my feet. They ache, pain all around inside & outside to my hips and lower back, muscle spasms, they get hard when I sit at work. Sometimes I feel like they are going to give out when I get up to walk. I have to take a hammer and pound on them to get some relief, kinda gives me a sence of massage. My dr. wants to do an MRI. I don’t have health insurance to get all these tests done. They would have to run millions of tests for: ms, fibro, arthritis, muscle damage? where do I start? One day I was taking a nap & I was burning inside from the hips down to my feet like I was on fire. It was horrible. My mom sees me shake my legs when I nap, like restless leg syndrome. When I get like this I don’t want to do anything but lay around, or even go to work, then I sleep too much, but it gives me some relief. Taking 10mg lexapro, 1/2 klonipin in am & pm (when needed) and tenormin for heart flutters. Thanks everyone for your help.

A 58-year-old woman, is a known patient of rheumatoid arthritis for 5 years.
Presenting Complaints: She presents with more intense pain and stiffness in her hands along with generalized fatigue since few weeks. In spite of a larger dose of NSAIDs over the last few weeks there has been little relief from pain.
General Examination:
Pale palmar creases, and pale conjunctiva
Local Examination:
Swelling and tenderness of the 3rd & 4th metacarpophalangeal joints in both hands,
Laboratory test:
CBC: Hb = 7.0 g/dL (normal, 12.0-16.0 g/dL);
Peripheral Blood Picture: Rouleaux +
mild normocytic anemia
Absolute monocytosis.
Serum total protein = 8.5 g/dL (normal, 3.5-5.5 g/dL)
Serum albumin = 3.0 g/dL (normal, 6.0-7.8 g/dL)
Serum globulins = 5.5 g/dL (normal, 2.3-5.5 g/dL)
Her stool occult blood is positive.

1. What is the cause for her pale appearance?
2. Is there an inflammatory component to the clinical picture of patient being pale?
3. Why is the total protein increased and serum albumin decreased?
4. What do you infer from the absolute monocytosis observed in the differential count of the peripheral blood picture?
5. What is the role of Rhematoid Arthritis (inflammation) in deforming Ms. Nada’s metacarpophalyngeal joints?

I am sick of people who claim cannabis is bad for you, it’s exceptional for pain relief and is less toxic than your everyday paracetamol or ibuprofen and provides better relief that you cannot overdose on.
Cannabis as some research shows can help stop forms of dementia and be a wonder for arthritis!
cannabis is also good for recreational users! cannabis itself smoked in pure form wont give you lung cancer! it’s safer than beer, causes the complete opposite to beer, making people chilled, relaxed and feeling good, cannabis may also help those who have eating disorders what causes them not to eat. . . cannabis causes the munchies.
anyone else agree?

So this shit can be used for alot of stuff and it seems to me like it just cleans out everything it comes in contact with and effectively gets it out of your body in a way.

I have recently been put in a situation where i will be drug tested a couple times in the next year and I’m already aware of the usual techniques to clean yourself out as fast as possible but i was thinking maybe ingesting a bunch of this stuff could be added to the routine.

I’m mostly worried about urine drug tests but if it could effect saliva samples that info is welcome too. This is just a random thought and i know it sounds kinda far fetched. im taking it for a cold right now and it tastes very strong and burns sublingualy.

Oregano Oil Properties:
Immune Stimulant
As an immune system booster, oregano is unparalleled in the plant kingdom. It is many times stronger than echinacea or goldenseal. A couple of drops daily are enough to supercharge your immune system, which is your first and most powerful defense against disease.
Antibiotic and Antiseptic
Tooth and gum infections respond quickly to Oregano Oil, due to its powerful antibacterial and antiseptic properties. The oil is applied directly to the gums. A drop of Oregano Oil on your tooth brush will leave you mouth feeling fresh and clean. Regular treatment will vastly improve oral health and hygiene. Many people suffering from a variety of chronic infections have seen them disappear quickly after using the oil internally and externally.
Food Poisoning
In a recent study, approximately 20 percent of meat samples obtained from grocery stores contained antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Vegetarians can be affected by food poisoning, as well. Salmonella and E. coli have been found on such vegetables as iceberg lettuce and alfalfa sprouts, resulting in food poisoning. By using oregano oil daily, you can significantly reduce your chances of being one of the 84 million cases of food poisoning that occur annually in North America.
Antiviral
Oregano oil has been used very successfully in treating viral conditions, such as colds, flu, shingles, herpes and warts. The fact that wild oregano oil can stop a cold or flu if taken at the first sign of symptoms is indicative of its amazing powers.
Antifungal
The aggressive antifungal properties of oregano oil work effectively against stubborn fungal infections such as candida and nail fungus. You may use the oregano oil internally for candida and both externally and internally for nail fungus. Mix a few drops with shampoo to get rid of dandruff or seborrhea, which are caused by fungal infection of the scalp. Take some to the locker room to eradicate athlete’s foot.
Oregano oil is the active person’s best friend due to its anti-inflammatory and pain relieving action. Used topically, the oil deeply penetrates tissues and, in so doing, brings relief and speeds healing of bruises, torn and sore muscles, sprains, tendonitis, cramps, carpal tunnel syndrome and other similar injuries. These same properties make it a powerful remedy for arthritis.
Anti-allergy
Allergies, which are affecting increasing numbers of people, can often be eliminated by the internal use of oregano oil and by breathing the vapors from the oil. In many cases relief occurs quickly.
Antioxidant
Among the natural antioxidants, oregano oil is one of the most powerful. It protects cells from free radical damage and in the same way it prolongs the shelf life of foods.
Antiparasitic
Parasites, such as head lice and scabies, as well as internal parasites, are no match for oregano oil. The oil can be added to soaps, shampoos and diluted in olive oil for topical applications. By taking a few drops daily under the tongue, one can gain protection from water-borne parasites, such as cryptosporidium and giardia. Internal dosages also are effective in killing parasites and flukes in the body.
Anti-venom
Oregano oil is capable of neutralizing venomous bites, making it invaluable as an effective first aid treatment for bites of all varieties, including bees, snakes and spiders. Oregano oil is also useful for preventing infection from animal bites and other puncture wounds. It reduces inflammation and its anesthetic properties relieve the pain associated with bites and stings after topical application.
Blood Oxygen Levels
Many people suffer symptoms related to poor oxygen absorption in the blood. Their cells are starved for oxygen feel the effects as fatigue. Oregano oil used internally and externally increases oxygen absorption in the blood. Many people note increased energy after taking oregano oil.
Anti-pleomorphism
Bacteria, viruses and fungi are able to change form in the body as a result of changing chemistry within the body. This is known as pleomorphism. Think of it as shape shifting. Oregano oil is deadly to all types of pathogens; it can continue to be effective, no matter whatever form they assume.

For the past week and a half, I’ve had terrible pain under my knee cap and around the sides of the joint. Sometimes shootin pain will go down my shin or up my thigh. I thought maybe it could be arthritis so I bought some arthritis creme (should have seen the look I got since I’m only 23), anyways, it has helped a tiny bit but not much. I tried taking tylenol but nothing really gives me relief. The first day I thought it was normal but then began waking up with it. I thought also it could be from my hour and a half commute in the car to/from work and then sitting while at work since I’m a secretary.

Any ideas?
I went for a bike ride last night and it seemed to help a little bit. This morning its now my hip and knee on my left leg. If it continues through out the end of the week I will make an appointment to be seen.

Aspercreme isn’t working, it’s just a constant ache/pain.

Why is my back pain uncontrolled?
I am prescribed 5mg/500 Vicodin and it hardly does anything. The only thing it does is put me under the influence. I just took 30mg (six pills), and and I still have the pain in my thoracic area. I also use aspercream. T7/8 vertebrae is slightly degenerated and I have mild arthritis. I attend physical therapy twice a week and do the daily exercises. Do I need a different drug to deal with the pain, its so hard to sleep. For others, one or two will do. I am not a drug abuser either, it just doesn’t want to subside. The doc said if I don’t feel relief within two months I need to see a spine specialist, what would/could they do different than an MD?

I am 20 years old, 6′ 6″ and a slim build.

I understand the effects of hydrocodone and the acetaminophen and was concerned but he said as long as I’m not taking more than 4 grams a day I’ll be fine as far as liver damage is concerned.

I had 60 prescribed mid December and they were done by new years. I had to get more a few days ago because the physical therapy wasn’t taking over like I had expected. Addiction is not present, nor should it be because the only time I take them it is at night to help me sleep and be somewhat pain free. I know I have very little tolerance to it, I just feel high and not relieved of pain, its ridiculous.

The doc said four a day is the limit since he stressed the addictiveness. I just take the four at night but this time i had to up it to see if I could get some relief, but sure enough its still present.

I take many good quality supplements. Whey protein, good calcium from coral, fish oil, DHA, vitamin C, perfect multi super greens, and some others

Thanks for any help provided

I do. Cannabis would be legalized. All the people suffering from cancer, kidney disease, chrons disease, IBS, degenerative arthritis, fibro myalgia, glaucoma and etc. would be relieved of the pain they live with everyday of their lives. Daily pain leads to depression. The drug companies have turned doctors into drug pushers. Taking their pain pills leads to addiction, as does antidepressants. Antidepressants in some instances make people more depressed which leads to stress, which leads to more pain. How many politicians use cannabis behind closed doors, not for pain relief, but because they want to feel better and in a euphoric state from the stress of their jobs? How many medical professionals use cannabis for the same reasons? Why not let these people with chronic pain have relief, because if they do the drug companies and pharmacy’s would lose money. Doctors would not get the great incentives from drug companies such as money and exotic vacations. Politicians wouldn’t get their kickbacks they get from not legalizing cannabis. Can you imagine your parents, children or even you being hauled off to jail, because of having a better way of life, if they use cannabis instead of taking prescription drugs. People are getting addicted to these drugs and some mixing the medication with alcohol to ease their chronic pain. These prescription drugs and alcohol are rotting peoples internal organs. How many people on these drugs or alcohol are getting out and driving and having auto accidents maybe killing themselves or a whole family or even paralyzing someone or causing someone else to be in chronic pain for the rest of their life. Your family could be next. How many people do you know that have killed themselves or other innocent people in auto accidents, when only using cannabis? I don’t know any. People are committing suicide, because they can’t take the pain any longer. How would you feel if a relative or close friend of yours committed suicide, because they couldn’t take the pain any longer and had rather be dead instead of living in constant pain the rest of their life. These people would most likely still be alive, if they weren’t afraid of using cannabis, because it has not been legalized. I hope people reading this that don’t think cannabis should be legalized might have a different outlook on this subject.

Recently I developed pain in both hands and right arm. The pain in right hand is more severe than the left. I tried all kind of pain killers but not relief. My doctor sent me for Xray, ultrasound and EMG and all reports look fine. Doctor is not able to diagnose the problem and has put me on Lyrica. I am not seeing any relief. The pain is shooting pain at times and originates back of my hands and travels all the way up to my forearm. Pain is specially really bad in the morning when I wake up and I feel my hands and fingers are stiff. Doctor has ruled out Carpel Tunnel and Arthritis pain. I am not sure what I need to do next. Its been going on for 3 months and I am totally frustrated and depressed all day. Can someone help or comment on my situation what I need to do. Thanks in advance.
Just to add, I am off work for 4 weeks now and there is no improvement in the pain. The RSI sysptoms should have gone or should have shown sign of improvemnt during this week. But no relief.
