Can you take (1) one 220mg tablet of Aleve Arthritis with Vicodin 500mg?
I had surgery in my stomach yesterday and my Dr. prescribed Vicodin 500mg. Well, the vicodin, 500mg, alone, isn’t reliefing my pain. Therefore, I’ve take 2 (two) tablets at a time and again no relief. A friend said that her pharmastis said she could take 1 (one) Ibuprophen with the her Vicoden 750mg. This “cocktail” has helped her often, therefore, my question is: can I take 1 (one) “Aleve ARTHRITIS” 220mg with my Vicodin, 500mg, tablet?
I would think that would be ok. but, if you are concerned, call your doctor or seek advice from a pharmacist.
It is smart of you to ask b/f doing as mixing certain prescriptions or OTC meds can have complications you are not even aware of.
You should go back to your doctor and tell your doctor the problem, your friend is not a doctor and a pharmacist is not a licensed doctor. If anything happen to you because of your friend’s suggestion, the money will come out of your pocket.
Not all cocktail is right for every person, every one has their own immune system. So, becareful of what you are doing.
you should call and talk to a pharmacist. don’t mess around with combining drugs. I have had a bad interaction of drugs before, because I didn’t know at the time I was allergic to something my doc prescribed, and it was HORRIBLE–rash & itching all over, heart beating fast, double vision–it lasted hours. Please call a professional.
Call the doctor’s private line. You might cause your stomach to do a 720 ! That’s OK if you can stomach it, but you might belly slam. Sometimes ruptured organs occur.
Normally I would say yes, however, you said that you had stomach surgery. Ibuprofen is extremely hard on the lining of the stomach, you could do serious damage. You need to contact your doctor and get a prescription for something stronger than the Vicodin that won’t harm your stomach.
