Can you get arthritis if you cut yourself?
I heard οf a child whο gοt a laceration 2 inches long, a сυt tο thе bone, аnd thеn gοt arthritis a few months later іn hеr fingers аnd hips аnd jaw аnd аll hеr joints. Hаѕ anyone еlѕе heard οf thіѕ happening?
Anyone know οf a doctor whο treats thіѕ type οf arthritis?
One thing has nothing to do with the other. Not medically related.
Don’t believe everything you hear. Docotrs treat all kinds of things.
You cannot get arthrits from a cut. However, there is such a thing as getting cut and becoming infected, and later on the infection affects different joints of the body. They symptoms can mimic those of arthritis.
Well, yes and no. Not as a direct result of the cut, but if you get a serious infection, that may result in Infectious Arthritis. So, I would say that child did indeed have infectious arthritis.

It might have been a coincidence. In my opinion, even though I am not a doctor, you cannot get arthritis if you cut yourself on a broken glass etc.
I am sure they are unrelated, but here is a link for you to find out more information about this type of disease.
