Can acute arthritis pains cause low grade fever?

My mother has been suffering from pains all over her body. The pains are very intense. Yesterday she had a low grade fever verging on the boundary of a real fever. Can arthritis cause light fever?

It could if she has a more serious form of arthritis going on (an example only), or if there’s an infection going on (another example only).

I would recommend that she see her doctor for further evaluation of the situation to see what they say.
