My Vet prescribed Previcox to use as needed for arthritis pain
Heat pads, and make sure that there is a dog bed.
Also you can buy stuff at the vets.
yes theres rymidal its like our Tylenol can help with that does have side effects and requires blood work to monitor that every year but theres also synovi g chews very safe and easy to give
One of my huskies is 9 1/2 and she started yelping really loudly every time she had to jump up, or even when she woke up from a nap. I started her on the BARF diet and it has made such a difference! I also give her Burdock root (a natural supplement sold in health food stores). She is back to her old self – running around, playing constantly. She is no longer in pain and I didn’t have to put her on meds.
Why don’t you just put the dog down…I wouldn’t want someone to let me live if I was suffering…but like what others said there is medication and a heating pad
These people carry medications and supplies to help with arthritis pain in dogs.

Most of your better pet stores like Petsmart carry suppliments to help also.
Many health food chains like Clarke’s also carry dog suppliments.
You could also do a search for “dog accupressure”
good luck
you can use the same OsteoBiflex that people use except in smaller doses. It has glucosamine and chondroiton in it. My vet recommended this and my 11 yr old Doberman started moving much better in days.
theres a medicine thats good It’s called Flavocin… a powerful combination of micronutrients designed to have a positive impact on your dog’s mobility and quality of life—especially in their senior years.
Flavocin provides nutritional support important for joint health and mobility and also contains powerful antioxidants used to help fight the effects of aging on dogs.
Flavocin was scientifically developed by a clinical nutritionist and staff veterinarian for maintaining joint health, strengthening connective tissue, for general joint maintenance and support, and the prevention of oxidative damage with the hope for a more youthful joint with a greater range of motion and flexibility.
u can talk to ur vet and ask if theres any pain medication he recommends that u can give ur puppy. i do kno that they make a dog aspirin. but b4 u give it to ur dog discuss ur options with ur vet. the massages are a good idea. u can also try heat packs, that is if ur dog will lay long enough to get the benefits. and b sure the heat packs arent to hot for ur doggy.
You can give her Bayer aspirin. That will not hurt a dog. It does help. Also, pet tabs are great to give them extra vitamins.
Rimadyl is a wonderful anti inflammatory and pain reliever. It’s a bit on the expensive side, but well worth it. Metacam also helps my old lhasa. There’s also aleve, but it’s called Equiproxen for animals.
EDIT: Aspirin nor tylenol is an anti inflammatory!
Glucosamin and chondroiton does not do anything in the short term, and if he’s in pain, don’t start with that.
You can ask your vet for a daily supplement called Rimadyl. My dog that passed away really benefitted from it in his old age. It made it a lot easier for him to get up and move around and stuff. Also, our other dog recently ripped off a toenail and it caused him a lot of pain, so we gave him Rimadyl, and it helped with that pain as well. I really recommend it for pain in dogs.
If you do decide to opt for people Asprin, make sure it’s baby asprin and that you ask your vet how much your dog can take for his/her weight. You really need to be careful when giving your dog people meds, DO NOT USE Advil or Tylonel! Just had to add that.
we gave our dog some aleve pills, or other arthritis medecine, not a lot though, just put it on a piece of bread with peanut butter and fold it over and they’ll eat it just fine
