I woke up 1 year ago with stiff neck and pain at the very top of my spine where it meet my skull. I have headaches that started as minor on right side but have gotten progressivly worse over the year. This is all constant pain every ay. Migraines, stress has been ruled out. CT showed arthritis in facet joints in my neck. I am sleepy 24 hrs a day and take provigal and a diet pill to stay awake during day. What could cause this? 5 yrs ago I was in a car accident- at 30 mph “t-boned” a car that ran a stop sign. That was only minor injury to neck. I am 53 yearold woman.

I’ve been told my knee pain was growing pains, arthritis, and plain old stretching of ligaments. They started, I think, when I was 5 and still continue to this day. I don’t have the pain all the time, and it’s not always in both knees. I am overweight now, but I wasn’t until a few years ago. Also, when I bend my knees, they crunch. I’ve gone to more than my share of doctors about this and no one can tell me what it is for sure or how it can be treated, if possible. Any ideas?
I have 2 herniated disks(L4 and L5) and have spinal stenosis (arthritis) in S1. I have tried drugs such as Oxycontin, Percocet, Ultram, and Tylenol 3. Currently, I’m on Neurontin, Lodine, and Zanaflex. I have had 2 epidural steroid injections and a Lumbar nerve block last week. None of this has worked and my pain is still a 10/10 and radiates down my legs. I have tens unit and have tried all kinds of linaments. I’m not a candidate for surgery because of where it is. Any suggestions of other drugs that I can get doc to prescribe or other things I can try? I’m only 29 years old and desperate!
what can I do about my hands
Last week I caught what seems like a common cold, frequent dry cough, burning nose sinus, occasional big sneeze. No congestion or phlegm though. But at the same time I caught this cold my toes began to experiencing significant pain. The next day that same pain I felt in my fingers. Now the pain is in the entirety of my legs.
Here is my attempt to describe the pain:
It is not a numbing feeling, but more of a stabbing pain. It is not constant, but rather occurs for like three to four hours, then returns later in the day. The pain is not in the joints. It seems to be more of the surrounding areas. There are also no visual deformities(bruising, bending, etc). In addition, any pressure or movement of the affected area has no affect. For example when my legs hurt I can still walk fine. Another note is that I am 20 years old so arthritis or something of the sort seems unlikely. Lastly, I have not changed anything in my lifestyle like diet, drug, or exercise.
Hopefully I have provided enough for someone to speculate any possible reasons why I am experiencing this pain. I understand that only a doctor can truly diagnose the pain, but I would appreciate any insight you may have before I go down the doctor route.
Thank You
I was recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis and I want to work out. How can I ease into it without ending up in horrible pain. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
Exposure to Benzene and other petroleum products can cause Acute Myelogenous Leukemia. I am planning to soak my hands in w-d 40 for 10 minutes/day hoping for relief, but I am concerned about leukemia and other blood diseases.
I haven’t been diagnosed yet, but my rheumatoid levels are high (got blood tests).
My doctor says he doesn’t want to diagnose me yet or something stupid like that. The pain is just spreading and getting worse. My hips are starting to hurt really bad, and so are my shoulders. And so many other places. It’s almost impossible to get up in the morning because of pain.
I’m almost in tears because this is getting so annoying. Sorry to complain but. I take ibueprofen as much as I possibly can, but it’s not working as well anymore. Tried alleve, still no relief.
What do I do?
My appt is at the end of the month. It’s so bad lately that I’m late to school because moving around in the morning is so difficult..
And my mom says I can wait.
