…breed dog?
she is otherwise healthy, has had all bloodwork done, and have tried Rymadel, ascriptin, and Dasaquin without much success. Thanks.

My mom is only 38 years old and for the past year or so her hair has been falling out a lot. She always has had a lot of hair and now her hair is thin and frail. yeah I know when you get older your hair falls out but this is not normal! In the shower like clumps come out. She is always tired and her joints have been hurting for the past month, she thought it was arthritis. I know she needs to get to a doctor but what I named are those some of the symptoms? Thanks for your help.

She isn’t walking so much and you could tell that she is in pain on her right front leg. This morning she was fine, but about 5 minutes ago all of a sudden she started limping. Could it be arthritis? She turns 10 in April.
She is a very active dog. She still acts like a puppy!

Would you leave them because of the inconvenience? I was just diagnosed with Lyme disease and I am very afraid my boyfriend will leave me. I have heard this disease can cause many debilitating symptoms and will eventually deteriorate my health to possibly ending up in a wheelchair.

If your spouse or significant other was diagnosed with a debilitating disease (cancer, MS, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, etc), how would you react?
We have been together 3 years.

My Peekapoo is 14 years old.
He can walk around the house (flat surfaces) fine, but he can’t walk up stairs.
He also doesn’t let me or my family help him up and growls at us when we try…
Would this be arthritis?
If so, how would I help treat this, if possible?
I don’t think he’s growling because of slipping on the stairs and being hurt, because he’s been like this since he was about 4-5.

I am a 26 year old female and for the past couple of days I’ve been experiencing headaches and body pain.

I live in Iowa. We’ve been experiencing some strong wind and some heavy showers. So I’m not sure if this pain is weather related or what. Here are my symptoms:

Ear/Jaw Pain – A little over a year ago I had a really bad ear infection in my right ear. For the past couple of weeks I’ve been experiencing ear/jaw pain. Sometimes it throbs. The ear/jaw pain started on the right side then it also started hurting on the left side. Its not constant pain. The pain comes and goes. I’ve noticed though that when I’m outside in the cold and wind sometimes thats when I experience the ear/jaw pain.

Neck Pain – The neck pain didn’t start until yesterday but when I woke up this morning I had a lot of neck pain.

Headache – I woke up this morning with pain in my temples. At first it was throbbing pain (non-stop) but then after I was up for a while then it wasn’t so painful but I’m still experiencing some pain in my temples. I have allergies so could allergies cause this?

All over body pain – For the past week I’ve been experiencing all over body pain off and on. But yesterday I had the all over body pain all day and now today so far I’m experiencing the same thing. Its like an achy feeling.

Tiredness – I’ve been feeling tired for the past week. I sleep well at night (I get at least 8 hrs of sleep) but I wake up in the morning feeling groggy and tired.

What could these symptoms mean? I have allergies and arthritis. Last spring I experienced these issues and my husband was thinking maybe I had fibromyalgia. He wanted me to go see a specialist but I decided not to at that time. So could this type of pain I described could it be fibromyalgia? If it is fibromyalgia should I see a specialist? Is there anything I can take for the pain?
I got my period last friday. I’m just trying to figure out whats going on with my body. So could my period cause this type of pain?

My dog has suffered from arthritis for years. He is 11 I think and it has recently gotten much worse. I have him bcuz years ago it turned out my (crackhead) uncle had been pulling his little (chiuahuah) ears, punched his tiny face, etc. With oscar really in pain now I am pissed. Wondering if the abuse caused this. The vets both said they can’t do much and gave him as much pain meds as poss w/o knocking him out. It hurts bad to see the “arthritic changes” they’ve diagnosed hurting my baby. He’s on metacam and tramadol. I’ve spent years healing emotional wounds and when I got him he had a crooked spine, both ears infected, an enlarged prostate, and 10 ( now extracted ) infected teeth. Did that piece of sh!t do this to him or is it normal aging? Its so hard to see him in pain, I love him. Is this from abuse or is my heart just looking for someone to blame?

I’m ttc baby #1 but I’m not sure I’d ever know I was pregnant. Firstly I have pcos (polycystic ovary syndrome) and while tests show I do ovulate, I only have periods once every 4 months or so, if at all. Secondly I’m heavier (a size 12/14 pants) with a stomach so I don’t think I’d start to show til pretty far. Thirdly I have several health issues that make me have “pregnancy symptoms” daily. I have rheumatoid arthritis that presents in my spine (called spondylosis) so I have mild/moderate back pressure and pain daily. My cysts from my pcos press on my bladder causing me to pee a lot. I have fibrocystic breast disease linked with the pcos, so my boobs hurt all the time. And I have acid reflux and an ulcer that keeps coming back, plus nausea from the metformin I take for my pcos, so I’m constantly sick to my stomach. And because of my arthritis and fluctuating hormones, and my anemia, I’m tired a lot. Then I get told by my doc that otc urine pregnancy tests are unreliable for those with pcos. WTF? How am I supposed to know I’m pregnant? I can’t afford blood tests every month to check for pregnancy, my insurance only covers one every 6 months.

By the way in case anyone was wondering if I’m able to have a healthy pregnancy because of all my issues, I am on daily medications to manage issues, and my doctor said that while I am at an increased risk of certain pregnancy complications, because I’m only 21 and because I have already lost 30lbs and am trying to eat healthy and take my meds she thinks I’d be ok

hi
scrappy (picture) turned 4 in Aug.
when I’ve put him outside the last couple of weeks his back legs start to shake
i bring him back in cause he looks like he is cold.
well i talked to my vet and she said it could be the start of it or he could just be a baby.and if i want medicine to let her know.

now he is a big baby but last yr he was fine but he was in a fence with his brother and sis. we had to move so right now they don’t get to play and are on chains till we get a fence.
today i put him out and all of him was shaking so he is next to me right now.
so what are signs to look for? anything else????
thanks
he is used to being on the chain i did that when he was a puppy
i go out to see him and always check on him
they are fine for getting to play thats not the problem

I have many symptoms of connective tissue disorders (rheumotoid arthritis, and so on…) & my doctor WAS convinced that I have one! Just yesterday I was diagnosed with Raynauds. I am 17 y/o, and my ANAs and stuff like that were normal. The doctor said these things came up as “abnormal” b/c my blood was “sitting around for too long.”
Are these lab results associated w/ connective tissue disorders?

MCV= HIGH
HCH=HIGH
RDW=LOW
Lymphs (absolute)= LOW
Monocytes (absolute)= HIGH
Occult blood= 1+ ABNORMAL
RBC= 4-10 ABNORMAL
Also, why would i exhibit all these types of symptoms (including Raynauds) and have “normal” blood results!
